Chereads / The Deathly Hallows / Chapter 3 - HOPE

Chapter 3 - HOPE

Out of the shadows, the twelve heads reveal themselves, surrounding Williams. They draw out their swords, ready to attack.

"You all did this..." Williams said with anger in his eyes, "... We built this place together. I saw you all as my brothers. Why? Why?? After everything we achieved?"

"Hand over the wand." The man standing right before Williams - Theodore, said mercilessly with a smug face and a smirk to top it all up.

"All because of a wand." Williams said. Turning to the other heads, he continued, "You all stand against me with this man driven by greed."

"You were the one driven by greed, not us." One of the twelve heads spat out, ready to kill.

"Alright, come get it." Williams draws out his wand and chants an incantation, but nothing happened.

"Did you think we wouldn't come prepared?" Theodore gloated. He drives his sword through Williams and Williams fall to the ground. Theodore bends to the sight of the dying chief head and takes the wand out of his palm. "Not as tough as you thought you were, are you?" He said smiling before standing up.

"Let me warn you..." Williams yelled with all the strength he could muster, "...That wand only brings destruction." Then he closed his eyes and breathed his last.

Ann had already climbed the mountain halfway. She had Noah tied to her back and a rope around her waist. "Hang in there, Noah, we're almost there." She says, looking down the mountain. She turns back, facing the top and continued to climb.

After sometime, they reached the top.

Ann untied Noah from her back and took him in her arms while walking forward. They stopped at a huge iron gate with the statue of Buddha carved in it. Ann turned to the child in her arms and a tear falls from her right cheek.

"You really do look like your father. You sure are going to grow up to be a handsome man."

She cleaned the tear on her cheek and rings the bell beside the gate continuously.

"I hope we will meet again." She said as she laid the child on the ground. Her tears flowed uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry."

"Oh my! A baby!" The monk gasped at the sight of the baby.

He picks up the child immediately and walks out to look for the person that dropped the child.

"Oh no, no, no, no!!!! You... Whoever you are! I know you're still out here! You better come out and take your child back! What does this place look like to you?! A child care center?!" He yells, holding the child as if he was holding an ancient artifact - careful not to break it.

Suddenly, the child starts crying.

"No! This isn't funny! It's crying!" The monk yells again then takes the child through the gate.

Ann comes out of her hiding place and heads down the mountain.

Running up to the hill to the square, the monk panted as he carried the child.

"Elders! Elders, it's a child!" He says on arriving at the square.

All the elders -5 in total- stared at the tiny looking thing as Elder Mo held it awkwardly.

"Fei, what should we do with it?" Mu asked as he eyed the baby.

"Don't ask me! You're the one who bought it in!" Fei replied.

"I don't know how to hold it!" Mu exclaimed while the baby laughed nonchalantly.

"I don't know how to hold it either!" Fei snapped at Mu who was trying to act pitiful.

"Where is it's mother?!" Lee suddenly asks in panic.

"I don't know, I just saw it laying outside and I couldn't just leave it there!" Mu answered.

"I haven't seen a child since I was 10." Po said, still dazed.

"We should report this to the master immediately." Fei stated.

The elders walked into the temple to find an old monk in a meditation pose in front of a huge Buddha statue.

"He is meditating." Mu whispered to the elders.

"Yes, we can see." Lee whispered back to Mu as he stated the obvious.

"We can't disturb when he is meditating, can we?" Fei says aloud in exasperation.

"Shhhhhh" They all retort.

"Well, we can't just turn back. What will we do with this child?" Po says.

Suddenly, the child starts crying and the master monk snaps out of meditation in shock.

"What is that?!!" The master monk screamed as soon as he saw the baby.

All the elders took a step back in fear.

"I believe it is called a baby, master." Lee says informatively while he adjusts his imaginary glasses.

"Of course I know that's a baby! What's it doing here?!" The master exclaimed.

"I found it laying all alone outside the gate, master." Mu replies.

"And you brought it in?!" The master shouts.

"What was I supposed to do? The mother was not there." Mu says in self pity.

There was a brief silence as the master looked at the tiny looking thing.

"Bring it closer." He ordered.

Elder Mu took the child to him and placed it in his arms. Surprisingly, it laid well in the master's arms and it stopped crying.

The child had white hair and green eyes. His brows were as white as his hair and his lips were red.

Looking at the child, the master drew out a paper from the cloth wrapped around the child and he found a picture attached to it. 'NOAH' was the only thing written on the paper and the picture was of a man, a woman and two children, of which one was the child the master was holding.

"This is his family..." The master says, "...This child is blue aura sorceror." He continued.

The elders turned to themselves.

"Could this be a part of the prophecy?" Lee asks

"I'm not sure, but I believe our god has blessed us with this child." The master responded. He raised the child up to the buddha statue and the rays of the sun glorified the scenery.

A sorceror is ranked by his aura.

Firstly, there is the red aura which is the most common and by far the weakest. They are the closest to the ungifted in terms of power.

Secondly, the orange aura sorcerors. Their power is limited to domestic spells and they are the commoners in the sorceror hierarchy.

Thirdly, the yellow aura sorcerors. These are soldiers. Their main attribute is super strength.

Fourthly, the blue aura sorcerors. They are very scarce and very powerful. Approximately, only one blue aura sorceror can be found in a thousand sorcerors.

Lastly, the violet aura sorceror. The only violet aura sorceror ever to be recorded in history was Lord Gaza. Legend says that when he was alive, the ungifted and sorcerors lived together in peace. The full power of a violet aura sorceror is unknown because Lord Gaza was recorded as far back as a thousand years ago - before the great war.
