Chapter 1 - BORN INTO A WHITE WORLD

Chapter One: The Birth Right

Mispah was born into a house in the middle of the Jungle, where the morning sunlight filtered through the Sago Leaf Rooftop of the traditional house, casting a soft and warm glow. Her first cries echoed through the Sago stemmed wall and into the Jungle nearby . The house was a fortress , a sanctuary from the outside, unknown world

Her mothers, last breathe before she closed her eyes for good, Mispah lay in her arms, sound awake not knowing what was going on. She would be orphaned at a tender age of 2 months, when her mum passed from the struggle of Child birth. From the Day she was born, her life was meticulously crafted ,each detail accounted for , each predetermined unseen forces. The white hands that would hold her black, innocent hands would love and cherish her forever . But Life as it often does had it's own destiny . The vineer of control was only skin deep and the World outside her Sheltered existence was restless , changing in ways her Uncle and Aunt would never foresee.

Chapter Two: The Hands that Mold

As she grew gracefully over the years, Mispah learnt that her Uncle was a man of Power in her Village. A man of Status, a Leader amongst the villagers. An influence that stretched across the Islands and nearby Villages . Mispahs existence came with longing to find herself, to find her longing to feel wanted and accepted. Although she was a Child of Discipline, Corporal punishment was the way of the colonial times . This fell heavy upon her heart and it pained her to try to fit in and be loved by her Aunt and Uncle who were her legal guardians since her mothers sudden Death.

Chapter Three: World Beyond

In Primary School Mispahs World Expanded. Chosen by A Rich Woman from the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Ilma Scandrett Would have chosen to sponsor Her, after a careful and thorough selection. It's was God's Grace that shone light upon Mispah that wonderful morning. As The documents were signed and hand shakes exchange. Mispahs World took a turn. She was sponsored by this Matron of Light From another Country and her life was just starting . Even though her world seemed far more complicated it seemed, this events would shape and mold molive to be born into white hands.

Chapter Four: Breaking The Mold.

Months turned into years and Mispah found herself, privileged amongst the other children of the Small Island School. Mrs Scandrett would send, Clothing and Materials with Fine Linen and Stationaries for her from Australia. Her Humble and Quiet demmenor was most outstanding and her resilience to work hard earned her spot in. A Teachers College. Mispah was 19 years old. Young and Vibrant, she stood out from the rest. It was on this End of school year that she would travel to Australia to visit her God Mother and her Family in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

Change was in the air, the World outside of her small island home was vast and Mispah found herself overwhelmed . She was ready to break Free and See the outside World that awaited her.

Chapter Five: Reclaiming Her True Self

The festive season in Australia was new for Mispah. She was thrilled with the excitement of a new World. One she never imagined in her whole Life time to be a part of. Laurie, Wendy and Kerry Welcome their Black sister with Loving embrace as she was introduced by Mrs Scandrett. Ilma Scandrett was a Rich and Noble woman. She was a public figure and she was outstanding in running the family business after her husband Lance Scandrett Passed. Her Children were very intelligent. Laurie was an aspiring Soldier in the Australian Army. Kerry and Wendy also had Noble professions. Mispah was drawn back into years of Joy as she stepped into the Scandrett Mansion . This was the beginning of her stay in Australia and Her life long journey into the woman she became and the mother to myself and my five siblings. She was born into white hands, the very hands that would hold her heart forever.
