"Are you still planning to go to Russia next week? I hope you find what you are looking for," Layla murmured softly, her head resting comfortably against Lucius's chest.
Lucius's fingers lightly traced patterns on her back as he replied, "I'm thinking of postponing the trip."
Layla's brows furrowed in surprise. She lifted her head, her curious gaze meeting his. "What? Why would you delay it?" she asked.
A faint smile tugged at the corner of Lucius's lips as he looked at her. "Because something else has been occupying my thoughts lately," he asserted.
Layla shifted, propping herself up on her elbows so she could fully face him. "And what might that be?" she asked, her eyes narrowing slightly, her curiosity piqued as she searched his face for answers.
