Roger raised his glass, clinking it against Aiden's with a sharp tink before bringing it to his lips. The two men lounged on the plush leather chairs of the dimly lit lounge of the second floor.
"Roderick's here," Aiden began, his voice low but deliberate. "He said something to Madam earlier today. She seemed upset after their meeting."
Roger exhaled heavily, setting his glass down on the side table. "Roderick," he muttered, his tone laced with disdain. "He's relentless about getting Madam back. And Sylvia—she's right there helping him. Both of them are snakes. If only I could teach them both a lesson they wouldn't forget."
Aiden gave a curt nod, his expression grim. "Stay away from Sylvia. You know she doesn't even like you."
