Alekis folded the newspaper and placed it on the table. Picking up the saucer, he took a sip of the tea. "I think the Rosenzweig family has many problems with them," he said after lowering the cup on the saucer.
"Father, it's because of Layla. Ever since she has married in this house, all we have seen is the bad news," Fiona said. "She doesn't possess any rights, that's why she's acting in such a way," she added.
"What do you mean?" Alekis inquired.
"Mr. Darius is going to declare Orabela as the heiress and future chairwoman of the Rosenzweig Groups tomorrow. But just a day ago, Layla filed a complaint against her own mother. Why would your own mother try to kill you? That's a false charge. Layla is trying to snatch the legitimate rights of Orabela," Fiona explained. Her hands remained on her lap as she clasped them together.
Alekis furrowed his brows together and quietly sipped the tea.
