The next day, in the house party for Alekis's birthday celebration after cake cutting, he introduced both Lucius and Layla to some of his old friends, who couldn't attend their wedding reception.
As the lively gathering progressed, Mr. Leinster, a distinguished guest, approached the couple. With a warm smile, he remarked, "I happen to know your daughter-in-law through a project my daughter is quite invested in. I must say, Lucius, you've made an excellent choice. Though you married later than most, you've truly found the perfect partner."

Just then, Roger appeared by Lucius's side, leaning in to whisper something urgent. Lucius nodded slightly and then turned to the group. "If you'll excuse us for a moment," he said politely before guiding Layla away.
