Chapter 95: Steward Appointment and Transfer Order
A large group of skeletons stood in the open area, waiting for orders.
On either side, Level 5 skeletons wielding spears were practicing against dummies and cloth-wrapped targets.
The entire space echoed with the sound of spears piercing the targets.
Big Head Skeleton wasn't around; it must have taken some skeletons out on patrol to kill zombies.
Wu Heng said to the side, "Open the lid."
Two skeletons stepped forward, opened the coffin lid, revealing the corpse wrapped in linen inside.
Wu Heng glanced at it and directly cast [Raise Skeleton].
Necromantic magic slowly enveloped the corpse in the coffin.
[Summoned creature's abilities far exceed the summoner's capability range, increasing instability factors…]
A system notification appeared.
The linen wrapping the corpse collapsed as if it had lost its support.
Then, a short skeleton slowly sat up, extending its bony hand to tear open the linen wrapping.

The attributes didn't include any combat abilities.
Although its Intelligence and Perception were high, it didn't have any spell-related abilities.
The proficiencies were all related to alchemy.
Of course, Wu Heng didn't buy it for combat purposes.
The short skeleton slowly walked out of the coffin and stood aside.
Wu Heng recalled but still couldn't remember what it was called when the eight-bearded man introduced it.
It seemed like it was called something like Ster or maybe something Ster.
He directly said, "From now on, you're called 'Alchemist One'."
Upon hearing Wu Heng's words, the gnome skeleton slightly bowed.
It behaved like a gentleman.
The last one who gave him this impression was Steward Yazde.
Wu Heng wanted to hand over the two types of corpse core detox potions to it.
But on second thought, it still needed materials, and these materials could only be found in another world.
He ordered, "Find a room for now; I'll tell you what to do tomorrow."
The gnome skeleton walked directly into a room in the hallway.
It didn't stay outside to practice like the other skeletons.
...…
The next morning.
Wu Heng walked out of his residence and found a guild staff member already waiting outside.
"Mr. Wu Heng, Vice Steward Slater asks you to come over."
"Alright, I'll head over right away." Wu Heng agreed and quickly tidied himself up before leaving the residence.
When he arrived at the guild, all the teams had gathered there.
He glanced over at Team One and noticed that 'Arnel' was indeed absent from the team.
The members of Team One were also much more subdued.
They used to be the most arrogant.
Wu Heng walked to his team's spot, where the other three members were also standing.
"Is there another mission?" Wu Heng asked.
Captain Otruluk shook his head, "It seems news has come from the main office; the new steward's appointment should be finalized."
Oh~!
So that's what it's about; it doesn't concern him much.
It didn't matter to him who became the steward.
Personally, he felt that 'Slater' would make a good steward. She had connections in Blackstone Town and often led teams to capture wanted criminals.
But some people were good at disguising themselves, and it was hard to judge their true nature.
Yazde was a perfect example. He always dressed like a gentleman, wore white gloves every day, but had been scheming around Blackstone Town for years.
He had caused so many deaths.
People are unpredictable!
The group chatted in low voices, and soon 'Slater' emerged from the side.
She glanced at everyone and directly said, "I called everyone here this morning to announce the appointment from the main office."
Everyone quieted down.
She continued, "I've been appointed as the Resident Steward of the Adventurer's Guild in Blackstone Town. The Vice Steward will arrive in Blackstone Town within three days."
Since the organization was made up of adventurers, the appointment didn't involve any complicated ceremonies; a simple announcement and a flash of the appointment letter sufficed.
The team members and some staff exchanged glances, but no one said much.
It wasn't surprising that Slater had become the steward after all these years.
"Congratulations, Steward Slater," everyone congratulated her.
"Alright, if there's nothing else, go back to your tasks!" Slater waved her hand.
The crowd dispersed, quietly chatting as they left the guild hall.
Yuli was also happy to hear the news, almost cheering out loud.
She excitedly patted Wu Heng's back twice.
After all, it was her aunt.
Now that her aunt had become the steward, Yuli could be considered a second-generation in this place.
"Where are you going?" Yuli asked as she followed him outside.
"To buy some materials," Wu Heng said.
"What materials? Are you studying necromancy?"
"Not necromancy, alchemy materials."
"Oh, so you've started studying alchemy now!" Yuli was surprised.
"Just a bit~!"
The two chatted as they walked outside.
A staff member caught up from behind and said, "Mr. Wu Heng, the steward asks you to come over."
Wu Heng was taken aback.
He quickly realized it was Slater calling him.
Hearing that a steward wanted to see him alone, he tensed up.
He wondered if it was a trap.
But Slater had always been good to him, and she was still young, didn't seem like someone who needed to extend her life, and wasn't short on wealth.
She probably wouldn't harm him.
"Alright!" Wu Heng nodded.
Yuli said, "I'll wait for you in the lounge, and then we'll go buy the materials."
"Okay!"
Wu Heng arrived at Slater's study.
He knocked lightly, and after receiving a response, he walked in.
The room was filled with a faint fragrance, the same scent as in the carriage when they had ridden together before.
Wu Heng smiled and said, "Congratulations, Steward Slater."
Slater motioned for him to sit down and directly said, "Besides my appointment, the main office also sent some transfer orders for you. Due to your sufficient merits, you'll be transferred to 'Rentam' as a team captain…"
Hearing this, Wu Heng frowned slightly.
He knew he would be transferred.
These were all arrangements made by Yazde. After taking over Wu Heng's body, he was supposed to go to a remote place, drag it out for a few years, and then no one would know about it anymore.
What surprised Wu Heng was the mention of 'Rentam'.
Yesterday, when he retrieved Yazde's belongings from the Snake Emblem Consortium, there was a property deed for a place called 'Rentam'.
In other words, this was all prearranged by Yazde, or he had actively applied to go to that city under Wu Heng's name.
"Rentam is outside the Kingdom of Yeco, in a rather chaotic area. I don't know why the main office suddenly decided to transfer you there." Slater looked up at him and said, "If you don't want to go, I can talk to the main office and arrange for you to take over as captain of Team One."
Hmm?
A city outside the Kingdom of Yeco?
