Mike, Kevin, Calista and Seraphina froze as they crouched behind the trees, staring at the scene unfolding before them. In the distance, a monstrous creature emerged from the muddy center of Yuomama Island. Its body was grotesque, a mass of distorted flesh with limbs resembling tree roots, writhing and reaching out to the surroundings. The creature let out another deafening roar, sending tremors through the ground.
"What the hell is that?" Kevin whispered, his usual playful tone now replaced with fear.
"It's... something from the Abyss," Calista muttered, her eyes narrowing as she tried to focus on the dark energy radiating from the creature. "It's guarding the artifact. I wasn't expecting this."
Mike clenched his jaw. "That thing's going to be a problem if we're going to save the kids. We have to find a way around it."
