Chapter 23 - Episode 23: "Revolver"

As Izzan embraced the golem he had just created, it was clear how proud he was of his achievement. Suddenly, an intriguing idea crossed his mind. Quickly, he dismissed the golem summon and pondered intensely, still hugging the golem as if cherishing the memory of his success.

Athena, annoyed by Izzan's actions, spoke with a hint of irritation, "Stop hugging the golem! You look like a child with a new toy. We have more important work to do!"

Ignoring Athena's comment, Izzan eagerly asked, "What if I use this magic to create a weapon? Isn't that an interesting idea?"

Athena, though still annoyed, couldn't contain her curiosity. "Oh? And what kind of weapon are you planning? A sword, perhaps?"

Excitedly, Izzan continued, "Yes, a sword. Let's give it a try!"

He began drawing the magic circle needed to summon and shape a weapon, and after a while, a stone sword appeared before him. The sword looked rough and uneven, but it already demonstrated the potential of magic in weapon creation.

Izzan carefully examined the sword and asked Athena, "Athena, can you scan this sword and provide an analysis?"

Athena quickly displayed a new hologram panel, highlighting the features of the sword. "Alright, let's take a look."

Sword Analysis Panel

Description: Stone SwordMaterial: Hard stone, unsharpenedFunction: Allows the user to attack with basic magical powerAdvantages: Easy to create and relatively stable for beginner magicDisadvantages: Not sharp, attack power limited by the stone material used

Athena continued enthusiastically, "This sword may look rough, but it's a good starting point. You can develop and improve its quality by adjusting the materials and magic techniques. Also, you can alter its design to enhance its strength and effectiveness."

Seeing the analysis, Izzan grew even more excited. "So, this could be a great foundation for more powerful weapons in the future. I can experiment with different elements and designs to create more effective weapons!"

Athena smiled, "Exactly! With experimentation and adjustments, you can create various types of weapons tailored to your needs. Just remember to pay attention to the small details in the creation process."

Izzan nodded determinedly. "I'll keep experimenting and developing these magic skills. Thank you for your guidance, Athena. And sorry if I was a bit too enthusiastic about hugging the golem earlier!"

Athena laughed, "It's fine. What matters is that you're getting a better grasp of how magic works. Happy practicing, and stop hugging your weapons!"

Inspired by the previous experiment, Izzan was very eager to try something more advanced. He decided to create a firearm—a revolver pistol. With high spirits, he drew the magic circle and started crafting the pistol. After some time, the revolver pistol materialized in the real world.

Eager to try it out, Izzan quickly created magical ammunition for the pistol. However, when he loaded the bullets into the revolver and tried to shoot, the pistol only made a clicking sound and did not function at all. The revolver looked more like a toy than a functional weapon.

Izzan stood confused, staring at the non-functional pistol. "Why isn't this pistol working? I made it with great care. The bullets are ready, but the pistol seems like a toy."

Athena appeared with an analysis hologram, examining the pistol closely. "Hmm, let's check. Are you sure you've considered all the details?"

Izzan furrowed his brow, "Of course, I followed all the steps. But why isn't it working?"

Athena explained patiently, "Izzan, you might have overlooked an essential element in the pistol's creation—the internal mechanism. A revolver needs not only the correct exterior shape but also an internal mechanism that allows the bullets to be fired. You need to ensure that mechanical parts like the trigger, spring, and chambers are also present and functioning properly."

Izzan examined the pistol more closely and realized his mistake. "So, I only made the outer part of the pistol without considering the mechanisms needed for its operation?"

"Exactly," Athena confirmed. "Without the internal mechanism, the pistol cannot fire the bullets or function as intended. This mechanism is crucial to ensure all parts work together correctly."

Izzan sighed, "I thought I could create everything at once. So, what should I do to fix it?"

Athena provided further guidance. "You need to add and arrange the internal mechanisms of the pistol, such as the trigger and springs, using magic. Create magic circles focusing on these components and make sure they're properly connected. After that, you can try again."

Izzan nodded, understanding his mistake. "Thank you, Athena. I'll fix the pistol and ensure that all the mechanisms are functioning before trying it again."

Athena smiled, "Alright, good luck. Don't forget, small details are often key in creating something truly functional."

With strong determination, Izzan asked Athena for help in depicting the mechanism of the revolver pistol he wanted to make. Athena quickly displayed a detailed diagram of the internal mechanism, showing essential parts such as the trigger, spring, and chambers.

"Okay, Athena, I want to start summoning this pistol in separate parts," Izzan said while focusing on the hologram diagram. "Help me create sequence numbers for each component."

Athena patiently displayed each component of the pistol in separate formats. Izzan began studying each part, creating magic circles suitable for forming each component.

Just as he completed the creation of the third part, a notification suddenly appeared from Athena.

Notification: Mana usage has reached 90%. Further use of mana may result in loss of consciousness.

Izzan was slightly startled but remained focused on his work. However, soon another notification appeared on the screen, reminding Izzan.

Notification: Dinner time is in 10 minutes.

Izzan panicked. "What?! Why are you telling me this now, Athena?!"

Athena tried to explain, "Actually—"

But Izzan cut in quickly, "Give me the fastest route home right now!"

Although slightly irritated, Athena promptly displayed a map with the fastest route. "Alright, take the main road, then turn left at the second intersection. Follow that road, and you'll reach home on time."

Izzan followed the route shown, running as fast as he could. Every second felt crucial as he tried to get home before dinner ended. With growing anxiety, Izzan sprinted through the familiar streets, desperately trying to make it home on time.

During the journey, Athena continued to monitor Izzan's condition and reminded him, "Be careful, Izzan! You're getting closer. Don't forget to watch the road and stay safe!"

Izzan replied, breathlessly, "Thanks, Athena. I'll try to get there as quickly as possible!"

As he ran, Izzan anticipated the long lecture from his mother if he arrived home late. The image of his mother's angry face and the various excuses he would have to make to explain his lateness made him even more determined to reach home on time.
