EXT. INDIAN OCEAN - NIGHT
The freighter sails through the dark waters of the Indian Ocean, its engines humming steadily. The sky is overcast, with only a sliver of moonlight breaking through the clouds. The ship cuts through the waves with purpose, its cargo hidden beneath, out of sight and out of mind.
Officer Kabir stands on the deck, staring out at the horizon. His face is unreadable, a mask of calm as the ship ventures further from the island. The crew moves about quietly, each man aware of the stakes but saying little.
"We were miles from anywhere, in the middle of the ocean. The silence of the sea felt like it could swallow you whole."SIMON speaks nervously
Simon stands a few paces behind Kabir, his eyes scanning the vast expanse of water. He's still uneasy, the enormity of what they're doing weighing heavily on him. He glances at Kabir, seeking some sort of reassurance, but the officer remains silent.
INT. SHIP'S ENGINE ROOM - NIGHT
Simon descends into the bowels of the ship. The air is thick with the smell of oil and machinery. He passes by the ENGINEER, who is busy checking the ship's systems. The low hum of the engines creates a constant background noise.
SIMON anxiously asks"Everything running smoothly?"
"Smooth as it can be. This ship's been through worse."ENGINEER Barely looking up
Simon nods, not entirely comforted. He continues deeper into the ship, moving toward the hidden compartment where the gold is stashed. His curiosity drives him, despite the warnings from Kabir.
INT. SHIP'S CARGO HOLD - NIGHT
Simon reaches the area where the secret cargo is stored. He pauses for a moment, listening to the faint creaks of the ship as it moves through the water. Slowly, he approaches the compartment, his heartbeat quickening. He reaches out, running his fingers along the cold metal surface of the hull, knowing that just on the other side, Billions in gold are hidden away. The enormity of it all hits him again—a mix of awe and fear.*
SIMON Whispersto himself"How long can they keep this up?"
The sound of footsteps makes him jump. He turns to see Kabir standing in the shadows, watching him closely. There's a stern expression on Kabir's face, one that makes it clear Simon is stepping out of line.
"Curiosity can get you killed out here."OFFICER KABIR said Quietly
Simon straightens up, trying to hide his nervousness.
SIMON Quickly responded back"I was just… checking. Making sure everything's secure."
Kabir steps forward, his presence imposing.
"It's secure. And it's none of your concern. You've got your orders—stick to them." OFFICER KABIR respondent with a Low, stern voice.
Simon nods, feeling a cold sweat break out on his brow. Kabir's gaze lingers on him for a moment before the officer turns and heads back up the stairs, leaving Simon alone in the dimly lit cargo hold.
"I knew then that I was in way over my head. But there was no turning back."SIMON replayed trying to hide his fear and nervousness.
EXT. INDIAN OCEAN - EARLY MORNING
The first light of dawn begins to break over the horizon. The freighter continues its journey, but the mood on board has shifted. The crew is on edge, their movements more hurried, their conversations in hushed tones. A STORM is brewing in the distance, dark clouds rolling in. The ship's RADAR screen flickers, picking up a blip on the edge of its range. The blip is faint, but it's there. The crew member monitoring the radar frowns, adjusting the controls to get a clearer reading.*
"Captain, we've got something on the radar. Small, moving fast."RADAR OPERATOR says as he Frown's
CAPTAIN JONES (late 50s, experienced, no-nonsense) approaches, his eyes narrowing as he studies the screen. He knows the risks of these waters—pirates, rival smugglers, and law enforcement all present threats to their operation.*
CAPTAIN JONES Tenses up."Keep an eye on it. If it gets any closer, we go dark. No lights, no radio."
The crew member nods, his fingers poised over the controls. Captain Jones steps out onto the bridge, looking through his binoculars at the approaching storm and the ship behind it hoping that because of the storm they will go unnoticed. But he knows this trip is about to get a lot more complicated.
INT. SHIP'S ENGINE ROOM - MORNING
Back in the engine room, the Engineer is running through his checklist when the lights flicker. He curses under his breath, checking the power systems.
ENGINEER Muttering"Damn storm…"
He adjusts a few settings, stabilizing the power. The ship's engines continue their steady hum, but there's a growing sense of unease. The crew knows they're not alone out here, and whatever is out there could be more dangerous than the storm itself.
EXT. SHIP'S DECK - MORNING
The storm is closer now, the wind picking up as waves begin to crash against the ship's hull. Kabir stands on deck, his coat flapping in the wind. He's deep in thought, his eyes scanning the horizon for any signs of trouble.
Simon approaches, trying to steady himself against the swaying deck. He looks out at the storm, then back at Kabir, who seems unbothered by the rough seas.
SIMON Shouting over the wind"Are we going to make it through this?"
Kabir doesn't respond immediately. He's focused on the radar blip, which is now slightly closer. His instincts tell him that the storm might not be their biggest problem.
OFFICER KABIR Shout's back"We'll make it. Just stay out of the way and do your job."
Simon nods, but he can't shake the feeling that something bad is about to happen. He watches as Kabir heads back inside, leaving him alone on the deck with the growing storm.
The scene ends with the ship heading directly into the storm, the radar blip still on its trail.
