Lumi stood still, her hands cooling as the last remnants of the Frostfire dimmed into flickers of blue. The weight of the battle settled heavily on her shoulders. Zayl had escaped, and though she had driven back the darkness, the victory felt incomplete.
Boreas stepped up beside her, his ice-blue eyes filled with a mixture of pride and worry. "You did well, Lumi," he said quietly. "You saved the temple. But we'll need to strengthen the wards and protect this place from further corruption."
Lumi nodded, her heart still racing. "But Zayl… he's still out there. And the Black Harp is going to keep coming. They won't stop until they get what they want."
