Chapter 7 - The Reckoning Begins

### Chapter 7: The Reckoning Begins

Dominic sat in his dimly lit office, reviewing intelligence reports when the news reached him. One of his men burst through the door, his face pale. "Master Walfez has been arrested," he blurted out, his voice trembling with urgency.

Dominic froze, the words hitting him like a blow. "What did you just say?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.

"Master Walfez—he's been arrested. They're holding him at Andy Pallet's station."

A cold fury washed over Dominic as he absorbed the news. This was no simple misunderstanding; it was a deliberate attack, an insult that could not go unanswered. Without wasting another second, Dominic grabbed his phone and dialed a number known to few—a direct line to Morvel Fultor, the Head of the Police Department of Aquaria.

Morvel Fultor was a man who prided himself on maintaining order, a seasoned leader who had climbed the ranks through a combination of shrewd tactics and political savvy. But when he heard Dominic's voice on the other end of the line, demanding an explanation for Lucas's arrest, all that composure shattered.

"Master Dominic," Morvel began, his voice shaking, "this must be some kind of mistake. Who would dare—?"

"It's no mistake," Dominic interrupted, his tone icy. "One of your men, Andy Pallet, has arrested the Warlord of Aquaria. Do you understand the gravity of this?"

Morvel's heart nearly stopped. The Warlord. The most powerful man in Aquaria, feared and respected by all, now sitting in a jail cell because of a mere police officer's foolishness. If Lucas Walfez was angered, the entire nation could be thrown into chaos, and Morvel knew he would be the first to face the consequences.

"I—I'll take care of it immediately," Morvel stammered, trying to regain his composure. "I'm on my way there now."

With trembling hands, Morvel ended the call and immediately began assembling a convoy. This was no ordinary visit—he needed every available officer, and they had to outrank Andy Pallet by a wide margin. The message needed to be clear: no one, not even a high-ranking officer, could get away with such a grave mistake.

As the convoy of police vehicles roared through the streets of Elysium, sirens blaring, Morvel's mind raced. He urged the drivers to go faster, knowing that every second counted. If Lucas was angered, if the Warlord decided that this was an unforgivable insult, then there would be hell to pay. The entire city—no, the entire country—could be plunged into turmoil.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Andy Pallet was oblivious to the storm heading his way. He sat smugly in the interrogation room, staring across the table at Lucas, whose hands were cuffed in front of him. Andy reveled in the power he believed he held over this man.

"You shouldn't have offended my nephew, Quinton," Andy sneered, leaning back in his chair. "You see, Lucas, I've got the power to make your life a living hell. Unless, of course, you apologize to Quinton and kneel before him. Do that, and maybe I'll let you walk out of here in one piece."

Lucas, still calm despite the situation, studied Andy with a measured gaze. He had already suspected Quinton was behind this, but now his suspicions were confirmed. Lucas's sinister smile unnerved Andy, but the officer tried to hide his discomfort.

"And who are you to make such demands?" Lucas asked, his voice laced with a quiet menace.

Andy puffed out his chest, eager to assert his authority. "I'm Andy Pallet, a high-ranking officer in the Aquarian police force. And I don't take kindly to people disrespecting my family."

Lucas chuckled softly, shaking his head at the irony. Here was a man so eager to flaunt his power, so sure of his control, and yet completely ignorant of the storm he had unleashed. "You have no idea what you've done,You brought disaster for your family.Dont you know that?" Lucas said, his voice still calm.

"Watch your mouth, Lucas," Andy snapped, his temper flaring. "I'm in charge here, and if you know what's good for you, you'll do as I say."

But Lucas remained unfazed, his expression unreadable. "You're a fool, Andy. And you're about to find out just how big a mistake you've made."

Before Andy could retort, the sound of approaching sirens filled the air. The noise grew louder, more insistent, and Andy's confident smirk began to falter. He turned toward the door as one of his subordinates rushed in, panic etched across his face.

"Sir, you need to come outside—right now!"

Andy frowned, irritation quickly giving way to confusion. "What is it?"

The subordinate hesitated, his voice shaking. "There's a convoy outside. Hundreds of officers—thousands. They've surrounded the station."

Andy's heart sank as he pushed past the officer and hurried out of the interrogation room. When he stepped outside, his eyes widened in disbelief. The entire station was surrounded by police vehicles, and every single officer standing before him wore a higher rank than his own. This was no ordinary visit—this was an inquisition.

At the head of the convoy, Morvel Fultor stepped out of his vehicle, his face pale but determined. He marched toward Andy, his eyes filled with fear and fury.

Andy's breath caught in his throat as the full weight of his situation settled on him. He had thought himself untouchable, but now, as he watched the ranks of higher officers converging on his position, he realized the true gravity of his actions.

Morvel's voice cut through the air like a blade. "What have you done, Andy?"Morvel Roared and Slapped Andy in the Face.

Andy's knees nearly buckled. He had just realized that his actions might have unleashed a nightmare he was powerless to control. The chapter ended with Andy staring at the approaching police force, the realization of his grave mistake dawning upon him as the full consequences of his actions loomed over him.
