Chapter 72 - Anger

Father Raphael's eyes were firmly locked onto the vulture in the sky, his gaze filled with an overwhelming fury that pierced straight into the creature's core.

The air was thick with an unspoken pressure.

The vulture sensed the wrath emanating from Father Raphael, and a wave of inexplicable fear surged through its heart.

Its wings trembled slightly, as though about to buckle under the force of the oppressive power.

That cold, merciless gaze made its heart race faster.

"Run!"

The vulture shrieked inwardly, without a second thought, it dived toward the ground, its razor-sharp talons grabbing the injured black bear and black panther.

The black bear let out a low groan of pain, its severed left arm still bleeding profusely, the wound gruesome and raw.

The black panther's fiery red flames were also dimming, its eyes losing their luster due to fear.

With a powerful flap of its wings, the vulture launched into a frenzied escape.

Its speed was incredible, and with each wingbeat, the air shattered into sonic booms as it carried the two magic beasts far away.

Yet despite this, the vulture could not shake the suffocating feeling of impending doom.

Father Raphael's anger silently surged, his eyes gleaming with a steely, unyielding light.

In his hand, a thin, radiant sword began to form, the blade shimmering with golden brilliance, exuding a fearsome power that instilled dread.

The air itself seemed to respond to the call of light magic.

With his right hand gripping the hilt firmly, Father Raphael said nothing.

With a powerful sweep of his wrist, a blinding arc of sword energy burst from the blade.

The sword energy ripped through the air, emitting a deep, resonant boom.

As it passed, the air distorted, the sea parted, and an unstoppable force hurtled toward the fleeing vulture.

The sword energy radiated a dazzling golden light, tyrannical and brimming with destructive might.

The vulture, feeling the terrifying sword energy closing in, was gripped with escalating panic.

It let out a sharp cry and, along with the black bear and black panther, quickly combined their defensive powers in desperation.

In an instant, a thick black fog enveloped the three magic beasts, dense and impenetrable, as though it could devour everything in its path.

At the same time, the black bear's purple lightning surged wildly from the markings on its body, crackling along the surface of the black fog, forming a barrier of lightning.

The black panther's flames roared to life, hurling blazing fireballs directly at the sword energy in a futile attempt to counter its devastating force.

The sword energy collided with their defenses, igniting a cataclysmic explosion.

Purple lightning intertwined with golden sword energy, causing a massive shockwave that sent the sea into a frenzy, with towering waves crashing into the sky.

The flames hissed as they met the sword energy, sparks flying in all directions.

The black fog tried to swallow the cutting edge of the sword energy, but the sword's radiant light magic was unstoppable, piercing through the thick fog without hesitation, continuing its relentless pursuit.

The vulture let out a heart-wrenching scream as its right wing was severed by the sword energy, blood gushing like a fountain, splattering through the air.

The searing pain caused it to lose balance, nearly plummeting from the sky.

Driven by a desperate survival instinct, it summoned more black fog in a final bid for escape.

This time, the black fog split into three tendrils, wrapping around the vulture, the black bear, and the black panther.

The three dense clouds of black fog, ghostly and swift, rose into the sky and sped toward the distant Celestoria Mountains.

The black fog moved with such speed that it became almost impossible to track, as they fled with all their might, desperate to escape the devastating battle.

Though the vulture had lost its right wing, it managed to maintain balance in the air, using the black fog's power to sustain its flight.

Its anguished cries echoed in the sky, revealing its pain and despair with every screech.

The black bear and black panther, wrapped in the black fog, were also quickly removed from the battlefield.

The black panther's body still burned with fierce red flames, but its pace had slowed, and the black bear's lightning was flickering out, its massive frame swaying, clearly wounded.

"You won't escape."

Father Raphael's voice was cold and unyielding, his gaze fixed on the rapidly fleeing black fog.

In an instant, the thin sword in his hand transformed into a large, glowing bow, radiant with golden light.

The bow hummed with an intense concentration of light magic, radiating a brilliant glow.

He gripped the bow firmly and gently drew the string with his right hand.

As he did, three brilliant arrows of light materialized on the string, their sharp tips gleaming with an intense, blinding light.

Without hesitation, he released the bowstring.

The three arrows shot forth like meteors, cutting through the air with unstoppable force, racing toward the vulture, black panther, and black bear.

The arrows streaked across the sky, leaving behind dazzling trails of golden light, their speed incomprehensible.

The arrows rapidly closed in on the fleeing black fog, as if they could predict every move of the three beasts.

In the blink of an eye, the arrows struck their targets with deadly precision.

Thud!

The first black fog was pierced, followed by the vulture's anguished scream.

Its body convulsed, losing all ability to fly, plummeting toward the ground.

The second arrow hit the black bear's black fog, and with a crackling explosion, the black bear let out a pained roar.

Its massive form lost all support, falling toward a dense forest below.

The third arrow unerringly struck the black panther's black fog.

The raging flames on the panther's body extinguished instantly, and the red markings across its form dimmed.

It clawed desperately at the air, but could not prevent itself from plummeting toward the ground.

Three agonizing cries echoed simultaneously across the heavens.

The three magic beasts' bodies fell from the sky, plummeting toward the depths of the Celestoria Mountains.

Their cries of despair still echoed in the air, but soon the howling wind swallowed them up.

The vulture's remaining wing was shredded, blood dripping from the wound.

The black bear's left arm was gone, its wound oozing black blood, and the black panther's once-raging red flames had completely faded.

The three magic beasts bodies crashed into the Celestoria Mountains like falling stars, sending stones and dust flying into the air.

With a resounding crash, their forms disappeared into the forest.

The soldiers who had witnessed the scene were left speechless, overwhelmed by the awe-inspiring sight.

The entire battlefield fell into a hushed silence.

The soldiers, who had been clamoring moments before, all stopped in their tracks, their eyes fixated on the distant sky.

The three magic beasts had been felled by Father Raphael's arrows of light, their dying wails echoing as they plummeted from the sky, crashing into the far-off Celestoria Mountains.

The dark fog that had surrounded them dissipated in an instant, as though it had never existed.

The soldiers' eyes remained locked on the spot where the magic beasts had fallen, their hearts filled with an indescribable reverence and amazement.

The three magic beasts had fallen into the Celestoria Mountains like meteors, vanishing from sight.

The thick clouds in the sky began to part, the thunder and lightning fading away, and the sky returned to its original clear and tranquil state.

The purple lightning and ominous blood rain had disappeared, leaving only a gentle breeze blowing through the encampment, as if the chaos of moments ago had never happened.
