Sirius lay on his bed, the darkness of night surrounding him. He could hear the soft chirping of birds and the distant croaking of crickets. It wouldn't be long before sleep beckoned, but his mind was too occupied with the information he had gathered today.
The senior he had met, Caroline, had shared insights about mechs—their difficulties and benefits. Mechas were as impressive as they appeared, but the costs associated with acquiring and maintaining one were daunting. Sirius realized he could never afford a mech... not right now at least.
He also learned about the advanced section of the college. Every student there was at least a Soul Elite, with a few being Soul Masters. Apparently, only a small number of students were Soul Grandmasters, the true geniuses of the academy. They were the ones who maintained the school's prestigious reputation, most of them already in their final years.
