Ren watched in utter confusion. While it was clear that these individuals were gods or something similar, their motives remained obscure. Who was aligned with whom? Why did they all show such deference to that one boy? Even the three primordials called him "father." It was baffling.
As Ren struggled to make sense of the situation, Zen turned his gaze away from the primordials and fixed it directly on Ren. Ren, paralyzed with primordial fear, felt as though a ferocious predator was locking eyes with him.
Genesis, however, merely said, "I see," before turning back to face his opponents.
Leviathan, puzzled, asked, "See what?"
"Nothing," Genesis replied, redirecting his full attention to the battle.
Genesis sighed and addressed the group.
"Could someone please explain why you're causing all this chaos?" Genesis asked, raising an eyebrow and gesturing toward the injured and dead gods scattered around.
Leviathan, observing with indifference, replied, "They were weaklings who didn't know their place. Their leader was the worst of them all, leading them straight to their doom."
Blade Monarch, one of the eight great monarchs of the Origin Pavilion and heir to the destruction sovereign, nearly erupted with rage. To be insulted in such a manner was infuriating, but he gritted his teeth and remained silent, knowing he was no match for Leviathan.
"Well, I won't lie," Genesis said nonchalantly. "It was indeed foolish for them to attack you alone." Blade Monarch couldn't contain his anger and vomited blood.
"So, would you care to tell me why you're doing all this? Don't tell me it's still about that ridiculous dream of yours? I sent you to the mortal realm for that very reason, and even left the Essence Lord of Light to monitor you. Yet, you rebelled, forced him to destroy you, and reincarnated to regain your strength," Genesis said calmly.
Leviathan chuckled. "Hahaha, Father, you know us too well. But can you really blame us? Every being desires to become sovereign of their own domain. Although the void is perilous, we believe that is where we belong. Nothing will stop us—not even you, Lord Genesis."
Genesis raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Well then, show me what you've got. You know I won't let you pass, right?"
Leviathan smiled confidently. "Of course we know. In fact, we'd be more worried if you didn't. This is probably for the best."
The three primordial beings raised their weapons, their expressions solemn but confident.
With a heavy sigh, Genesis said, "It seems you have chosen your paths."
Leviathan closed his eyes briefly. "Indeed..." he said, then abruptly opened them, vanishing and reappearing directly in front of Genesis. "...we have."
Without hesitation, Leviathan's spear lunged toward Genesis with twice the speed of their previous battle. Given the master's strength, it was expected that Genesis should have been able to defend or dodge.
Yet, Genesis made no move to defend. Instead, he stretched out his hand lazily and pointed at the tip of the spear.
Leviathan pushed harder, but when the spear connected with Genesis, there was no explosion or distortion—nothing at all. It was as if the attack had never struck.
The onlookers, including the essence lords and the other two primordials, were baffled. Leviathan himself was horrified, realizing Genesis had blocked the attack with a single finger and neutralized the aftershock by pinching the spear's tip.
"Well, what else could be expected from the Mighty Lord of Origin and Existence," Leviathan thought wryly, though his smile soon returned.
"You're going to have to try harder than that, Father!" Leviathan declared, retracting his spear and attacking with rapid, nearly invisible jabs.
Despite the intense speed and ferocity of the attacks, Genesis calmly blocked each strike, dispersing the aftershocks effortlessly.
Unperturbed, Behemoth appeared behind Genesis with his sword poised to strike. Yet, Genesis caught the blade with his free hand, using only his fingers.
Behemoth, though expecting resistance, was surprised by how easily Genesis neutralized his full-powered assault. He and Leviathan pushed their weight into their weapons, trying to restrain Genesis.
Genesis, initially confused, quickly realized the trap. Ziz had appeared with an arrow aimed at him, a trap set to exploit his distraction.
Calmly, Genesis tilted his head and caught the arrow with his teeth, shattering it. But more arrows followed, and Leviathan and Behemoth renewed their assault with greater intensity.
Even faced with such a relentless barrage, Genesis remained unyielding. He neutralized every attack with his hands, without the need for any weapons.
After several seconds and over ten thousand exchanges, Genesis, expressionless, said simply, "Try harder."
