Lee Sung smiled at Min suu before he stood up from where he sat, he wasn't buying the story Min suu told earlier. Thus, He pulled Hee Jin aside and asked, "Do you believe this?"
Hee Jin stared at the father and son, her eyes narrowing. "He's lying. That man is not his son." She said as she shook her head in denial.
Lee Sung looked at her, uncertain. "I'm not sure about him not being his son, but I know he didn't tell the complete truth."
He stared at how the two contacted each other and shook his head " Something just doesn't add up"
"I know and I feel it too, but we have no proof to deny his facts nor has that blonde made such a huge crime to remain him locked up"
Both sighed but lee sung thought of something and they both returned to Min Suu. Lee Sung asked, "You said your son got kidnapped. Why didn't you report this to the police?"
Min Suu sighed deeply, his expression filled with sadness. "Because... my son has a tendency of disappearing every now and then. He would spend the night with his friends and go days without coming back home. That's why I thought he was with them. But when I heard the news that he was found unconscious on the streets, I knew something was wrong, so I came out myself. I already explained this to you a moment ago and I also explained everything to the cops last night. They promised me they'd bail him out this morning... please make that happen, officer. Please."
Hee Jin and Lee Sung exchanged a glance, the weight of the situation pressing down on them. They could see the desperation in Min Suu's eyes, but the inconsistencies in his story made them wary.
"Alright," Hee Jin said finally, her voice firm. "We'll look into it. But if we find out you're lying, there will be consequences."
Min Suu nodded, his eyes pleading. "Thank you. Just please, let my son go."
As they turned to leave, Lee Sung couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this story than met the eye. They needed to dig deeper to uncover the truth.
As they left, Min suu stood from where he sat and went to the blonde guy he named Do hyun.Do Hyun stared at him for a while and Min suu could already guess what he was thinking. Do hyun was about to speak when Min Suu silenced him. "Let me handle this," Min Suu whispered urgently. "If you don't want to stay in these bars or have problems with the police forever, trust me."
Do Hyun stared at Min suu, knowing deep down that this man wasn't his father. How he knew this, despite having no memories, he couldn't say. But given the situation, he decided not to question it and went along with the flow.
Back with Lee Sung and Hee Jin, Lee Sung asked, "So, are you just going to let him go?"
Hee Jin sighed and answered, "Yes. Apart from fighting with the police, he didn't do anything wrong to put him in jail. The man named Min suu will bail him out... but we'll keep investigating him. I know for a fact that he's no ordinary man." She turned to Lee Sung and continued, "No matter if others believe me or not."
Lee Sung rolled his eyes before he nodded, understanding the gravity of her words. "Alright, we'll keep a close eye on him. Let's see what we can uncover."
As they walked away, both officers knew this was far from over. The mystery surrounding Do Hyun and Min Suu was just beginning to unravel. Hee Jin finally gave permission for the blonde guy to be bailed out of jail. "You can take him," she said, her tone firm. "But know this: I'll still be watching you both. Every now and then, I'll be checking in. Don't think you're off the hook."
Min Suu nodded, gratitude evident in his eyes. "Thank you, officer. We appreciate it."
Hee Jin watched as Min Suu helped the blonde man, still shirtless and barefoot, out of the cell. They made their way through the police station, drawing curious glances from the officers and other detainees.
As they stepped outside, Min Suu turned to the blonde man. "Let's get you home," he said softly.
The blonde man, now free but still filled with questions, didn't followed Min Suu even as he started walking. Min suu turned back and saw he was going another way. Min suu ran to him and held his arm " What do you think you're doing?!"
The blonde man removed his arm from his firm hold and told him " I thank you for helping me get out of those dungeons but I cannot go with you as I do not yet trust you. I do not even know where I am, I need to figure out where and how I got here"
"And you think by walking on the streets all the answers will just come to you on your own?" Min Suu asked him as he stared at him looking disturbed by his stubbornness.
" I don't know how I will find the answer. But I know for sure they won't come knocking to your door either" The blonde man retorted.
Min suu was about to scold him when he saw the police behind the blonde man staring at them.
"Listen, you don't know where you are and those people behind you won't leave you alone and you definitely don't know how to handle them. You can't get rid of them with fists but you'll only cause them to be more attracted to you and I don't think that's something you appreciate. Til you find out where you came from and who you are, stay with me. I'll help you out"
The blonde man still didn't trust this Min Suu, but what he said had a lot of gravity. But yet he couldn't shake the feeling that this was just the beginning of a much larger mystery. But for now, he was grateful to be out of the cell and away from the immediate danger.
And as they walked away from the police station, Hee Jin watched them go, her mind already working on the next steps. She knew there was more to this story, and she was determined to uncover the truth, no matter what it took.
