Slowly, Elysia backed away and took a deep breath. She then opened her eyes once more and returned Astaroth's piercing gaze with the same amount of passion. "I would very much like us to be together!" She shouted to the top of the world. Yet, after she realized what she just said, her genuine expression once again cracked as her irises flickered. Waving her hands, she frantically explained herself. "I didn't mean it like that! N-Not that I don't like you as a person, but being together in that sort of way is just moving way too fast! Pl-Plus, I'm a Valkyysian and you're a… whatever you are! It just wouldn't work out between us!"
Elysia conjured up entire fabricated scenarios inside her head as she flipped between cupping her cheeks and shaking her head. Astaroth, on the other hand, was still lost. It had been forever since last he spoke to someone, and yet the first person he met turned out to be someone so very… odd.
