Astaroth burned through 60% of his energy storage to throw hundreds of speedy pebbles at the forcefield. Without exception, they were sliced up, but only the tiniest of rock particles needed to reach the unconscious woman. He was sure that with her injured and hypersensitive state, she would notice something the moment it touched her.
And just as he speculated…

The short, blue-skinned woman shot her eyes open. She steadied her breathing as best as she could and then surveyed her surroundings. The first thing she saw were the two round eyes of a seemingly benign-looking creature. It had two legs, two short arms, black and red skin, and an adorable pair of horns on its head.
"Cute…" She managed to cough out. She instinctively tried to stretch out her hand and touch it, but her injuries prevented that from happening.
