[Congratulations host on entering PT-1 {Primordial Terrene 1}
[Fetching details about the system and the realm of Aetheria.]
Kael stood in a grassy field, observing the shimmering holographic screen displaying information about Aetheria and the system he had acquired.
Aetheria was a world similar to Earth, existing 250 years ago. However, one day, humans were forced into separate fantasy worlds known as the Primordial Terrains.
These worlds were abundant in resources and inhabited by fierce elemental beasts that guarded them. With this new existence, human lives transformed, enabling them to advance their civilisation and produce powerful leaders capable of shattering stars with their mere breath.
Kael, absorbed in the information, fell into thought. "So, that advanced world I saw before is real," he mused, continuing to read.
The Primordial Terrains were home to elemental beasts, whose genes enabled humans to produce incredible powerhouses. Killing these beasts yielded geno crystals, which enhanced human genetics, and geno cards, offering a wide variety of benefits such as skills, weapons, armour, buffs, and more.
The Geno Card System, a cheat provided by the gods, influenced these cards in unique ways, with its first ability now unlocked:
Skill Amplification 3x: This ability amplifies the output of the host's skills by three times.
The remaining abilities of the system could be obtained through the completion of main and subquests. As with most systems described in novels, this one also possessed basic perks, such as:
Pocket Storage
Analysis
Kael completed reading the information, his mind processing it all. "That means I can also check my stats," he thought eagerly, anticipating the opportunity to test the system.
The current screen vanished as Kael contemplated it, and another panel materialised.

Basic Swordsmanship: This skill showcases Kaels proficiency in swordsmanship, enabling him to participate in close quarters combat proficiently even though he may not possess advanced techniques or unique powers at this stage.
"Well, it's not too shabby. My sword training from a previous life proved to be quite useful. I even acquired the skill too," Kael thought. As he strolled along, memories of his intense training flashed before him, sending a shiver down his spine. Just the thought of it made him cringe.
"Man, that was one of the roughest days of my life."
Kael walked a distance while looking around and trying to grasp this new world. All he could see was an expanse of grassland accompanied by the sounds of ferocious beasts growling with hunger and rage.
Yet Kael pressed on determinedly, thinking, "This is my shot. I can't afford to squander it." He repeated this mantra to himself as he pushed forward.
Reaching an elevated spot, he caught sight of a brown grassy field. "What is this place?"
As he took in the scenery, a gust of wind swept towards him carrying dust particles. Kael shielded his face with his hands against the force of the wind. "These winds are strong. They're bringing in a cloud of dust," he remarked, discomfort.
Then he noticed a book in his hands, handed to him by the guards at the entrance. "Oh right! This book is the one the guardians gave me at the entrance. I completely forgot about it," Kael chuckled as he descended from the vantage point.
Once the winds subsided, Kael opened the book. "I hope this book holds information that can be helpful to me."
Upon opening the book, Kael was overwhelmed with information that he had already received a summary from the system. This information included up-to-date news about the world, but Kael wasn't interested in reading it all. He flipped through the pages, finding nothing useful until he reached the page.
The last page featured a map centred around the dome he had seen earlier labelled as the Vintage Dome.
"Wow, that area looks expansive even on the map. Maybe those guards were instructed to provide these maps to assist newcomers. I was really scared, at first," he muttered to himself.
Kael quickly located his current position on the map, identifying it as the territory with the same markings he had observed before. This area was referred to as the Beginners Fields.
"Seems like this map isn't detailed. It doesn't even show information about this place," Kael remarked. He glanced at the grassy landscape before closing the book and tucking it into his pocket.
Kael walked towards the field, thinking, "The beginners field might have something useful for me." With that, he sprinted off in that direction.
As he got closer, he began to hear sounds of metal clashing. Intrigued, Kael quickened his pace once more.
Upon reaching the spot, he spotted some teenagers his age battling rat-like creatures. They were clad in armour wielding swords and had formed groups to take on the beasts.
"They look like beginners just like me," he thought observing the rat-like creatures that were larger than rats and had sharp fangs. What caught his attention was the faint aura emanating from them.
Focussing on the creatures, a screen appeared displaying information about them.
Name: Rotfang Rats
Gene: Feral tier Rotfang Gene
Element: None
Attributes:-
ATK: 5
SPD: 5
DEF: 4
Skills: None
Skill cards [that can be acquired by killing them]: None
"Awesome, these creatures are just what I need," Kael remarked as he stepped into the area. He began to sift through the grass with his hands. The beasts and skirmishes were happening a distance away, ensuring his safety during the search.
While exploring he spotted something in the foliage, a grin creeping across his face. "Haha, this is perfect!" Kael exclaimed as he crouched down to retrieve a stick from the mud beneath the grass.
With the stick in hand, Kael swung it through the air, showcasing his swordsmanship. The stick sliced through the air with a whoosh, displacing the mud on its surface.
Noticing a rat in the vicinity, Kael turned to the system and inquired, "Hey system, can I use that skill, Amplification now?"
[Yes, you can activate it by focusing on the ability or skill.]
As Kael heard the words, his eyes twisted into a grin. "This was his chance to start fresh; I couldn't waste it by being scared every day. Bring it on, you wretched creatures; I'll show you who I am."
With a yell, Kael charged at the lone Rotfang rat. He also activated his skill, Amplification.
[Skill Amplification activated]
A notification from the system made Kaels pupils contract and veins in his body became slightly visible. His ears were vibrating to the sounds of a battle happening nearby.
"Is this what Amplification does for my swordsmanship?" Every clink of metal and growl of hidden beasts in the grass was crystal clear to him.
The moment Kael arrived, the rat noticed him, its eyes gleaming and growling in response. Kael and the rat locked gazes.
For Kael, the stick he held transformed into a sword, slicing through the grass before him to clear a path towards the rat. The rat remained motionless, its claws firmly gripping the ground for stability.
As Kael closed the distance, he launched the stick like a sword, thinking, "Take this," with a grin on his face.
Just before the stick could reach the rat, Kael sensed something off. A chill ran down his spine, making his hair stand on end and wiping the smile off his face. In a reflexive move, he tilted his head to the side. "What the hell?" Kael exclaimed in shock at what he saw.
The rat that had been in the same spot was now enveloped in a coat of grey aura. Its eyes gleamed like rubies, emitting a chill that transformed the atmosphere into one.
The claw of the rat reached out towards Kaels face, narrowly missing him by an inch.
Kael swallowed hard and remarked, "This isn't what the system's stat analyser indicated." Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead.
"Hey system, could you provide me with the status of this rat?" Kael enquired.
