Their conversation gets interrupted after Koji's aid comes to inform him of something urgent and he leaves in a hurry.
For once, Luke didn't bother prying into what had happened between them because he knew what the duke was like. And if his sister really had done something worth not letting slide, the duke wouldn't have behaved the way he did.
Though he also didn't want to deal with however she would treat him next. First it was a slap, second was a smack on the head and god knows now what she would do next. Maybe, a kick. He sure didn't like what his head was coming up with now.
Leisha comes back downstairs with three to four books in his arms while Luke scratches his head out of frustration.
Once again, Sici starts to feel a different emotion she is unable to describe, maybe it was embarrassment? Shame?
Well it wasn't her own, she knew that much for sure so she didn't bother identifying this feeling but it was annoying as she didn't like this.
"Maybe I just want to die," she thought.
"You do not," Melina says
"Oh so now you feel like talking," she gets irritated.
She glances at the two before deciding to voice her thoughts, "Should we just leave?"
Before they could answer or question her, she adds, "Yes, we are leaving."
As if she's just talking to herself or their opinions don't matter. Whatever it was, it was clear she wouldn't take 'no' or any questions at the moment.
Leisha hesitates, "Are you feeling alright, sister?"
"Yes," she bluntly replies, walking out the store as they are done paying for the books.
Trying to change the topic and mood, she asks Leisha, "What do you plan on doing now?"
"Oh...." He glances at Luke, "I suppose I should get back to training."
Luke shrugs, "Ray has probably left by now."
"Can't you help him?" Sici asks, not understanding why it has to be a specific person for Leisha.
"I could," Luke seems hesitant with his answer.
"To think you were scolding him about training," she scoffs as she notices the hesitation hidden in his words.
"Hey!" He tried to argue.
Leisha interrupts him, "Why are you asking, sister?"
She ponders about it, "No reason."
After a long silence, Sici voices her thoughts again, "On second thought, I want to try something."
Luke and Leisha sure didn't like what she suggested as she asked them for help along with it.
....
Due to unforeseen events, Sici had forgotten what she wanted to do in the store and the district. Too overwhelmed to think and process a plan.
As an attempt to cooling off her head, she now sits on the ground, changed into a white shirt paired with a brown larp corset, black pants and brown boots. Her hands were resting on her knee as she tightened her grip around the wooden sword she held with her right hand.
Her hair tied in a high ponytail, swayed along the breeze in the middle of the forest they were now currently.
Luke and Leisha had changed into comfortable clothings as well for sword training. Sici patiently observed their movement and strikes.
More than an hour has passed by and the two of them don't seem like they want to do what they came here for in the first place.
"Still not done with your practice?" Sici asks growing impatient.
Luke stops, indicating a break while Leisha wipes the sweat off his forehead.
"No. Nowhere near done."
She furrows her brows, "The lights going to be out by the time you're done then!"
"That's too bad then," Luke replies pretending to be oblivious.
"So you guys are not going to help me? Why did I come here while bothering to change into this?!"
"Don't remember saying no."
"Exactly! But the way you're behaving is.."
He interrupts her, "Either shut up and wait or leave."
She stands her abruptly, approaching him, "I don't think you want to test my patience right now."
"Threaten me all you want but I'm not backing down," he points his wooden sword at her.
Sici taps his sword with hers in frustration, knowing full well she can't force him right now specially when he's equipped with a sword. Doesn't matter if it's steel or wood. A weapon is a weapon, in which she has no skills or experience.
"Why did you agree anyway. I didn't even force you to help me," she mutters under her breath, giving up.
"Your request doesn't make sense to begin with," he sits down, palms pressed against the grass followed by Leisha.
"Like I said, what's the harm in learning the basics?"
"You have enough people to protect you."
"Hah! What a joke!" She kicks the grass, "I clearly said it was purely personal interest and not that!"
"Think you can fool me?"
She glares at him, "You like picking fights with me?"
Luke looks away.
Leisha joins in the conversation, "Sister, I think you should reconsider."
"Not you too Leisha," Sici sounds more dejected.
"Your body is weak. How do you expect to hold a sword even for basics?" Luke said.
"Should have saved my time by saying 'no' in the first place!"
Luke gives up, "There's just really nothing going through you anymore."
