Amber laughed as she took a sip of her drink. She looked at Jason and said, "Thank you so much for accompanying me."
"It's no problem. I also needed the break." Jason replied as he raised his empty glass to the bartender, indicating for more.
After their little chat at the restaurant, Amber begged him to accompany her to a bar, and seeing he needed the drink, he agreed.
"You know, I no longer have anything. I have no career, no money, and no friends. Everyone left me the moment my family went bankrupt; I have lost everything, and to salvage some of his wealth, my father wishes to marry me off to an old man."
Jason felt bad for her and wished he could help her feel better, but he knew nothing he said would be able to make her feel better. The least he could do was accompany her to drink. He knew Amber wasn't exactly a nice person but come to think of it, Amber has never exactly done anything bad to Eliana.
