Sloane entered the room and saw Eliana staring at the ceiling. She frowned and wondered if the loss of her child had made her lose her mind.
"Eliana." She softly called out but there was no response. Sloane sighed and walked towards the bed. She held Eliana's hand and called to her again, and this time, Eliana finally looked at her mother. A hint of surprise was in her eyes as she saw Sloane standing beside her and holding her hand.
"I heard what happened and I'm so sorry, Eliana. Such a thing should never have happened to you." Sloane said with a tear rolling down her eyes.
Was her mother crying for her? Eliana asked herself. It felt strange to see her mother cry for her. It made her feel that maybe her mom did love her, and for the first time since she woke up, Eliana opened her mouth to say something when Sloane suddenly spoke
