Without being told, he already realized what was going on.

He met Aysel's gaze with an apologetic smile, then ordered the maids to take Susan away.

Soon, everyone disappeared from the room, leaving the trio alone.

Aysel's face was deadpan, her eyes exceptionally clear and serious; she didn't look like her usual soft self at all.

Lawrence felt guilty, as this was partly his fault. He was the one putting everyone in a difficult situation.

"Hmm, Aysel, how is your health? How are you feeling now?"

"I am feeling good, thanks for asking, Grandpa." Her tone was nevertheless cold.

She hated things like this. She hated mistresses—relationship ruiners.

It reminded her of her past life.
