"Aileen," Nathaniel chided slightly, making Aileen pout. In the end, she rolled her pretty eyes, sweeping strand of her wavy blonde hair away from her face while sitting cross-legged. "Fine, fine, I won't shout at your wife, what the heck."
She turned her attention back to the novel on her lap, and from the corner of her eyes, she was spying on Nathaniel. Only when she was sure he wasn't paying attention to her anymore did she glance at Aysel. She lowered her voice and sneered, "Just because I address you as Sister doesn't mean I respect you or will treat you as an elder." She paused, glancing at her cousin's bed, and once she saw that he wasn't looking at them, she bared her teeth, showing her sharp canines, "Don't let anybody know that you are married to him. Someone like you doesn't deserve to be acquainted with him. If you were to reveal it, I will..." She glared ferociously, as if trying to intimidate Aysel. But she honestly didn't know how adorable she appeared.
