Chapter 13 - Doing You A Favor

"Can you give me a few moments to pack up, please?" Aysel requested, and the butler nodded. "No problem, you can take your time."

With that, Aysel excused herself.

Seeing Aysel go upstairs, Daisy sweetly offered, "I'll go and help Sister pack her things so she won't be late like she usually is."

However, neither the butler nor the personal assistant bothered paying her any attention, making her grit her teeth in secret.

In the end, her parents took the lead, shooting her a loving look. "That's very nice of you, dear."

"You've always loved your sister so much and have always treated her well, just like she used to treat you... Hehe~ To win Aysel's heart, one needs to win yours first," Vaughn said, purposely trying to emphasize how close the siblings were, so that if the Grants wanted to show goodwill to Aysel, they would also show it to her younger sister.

Daisy smiled shyly, knowing her parents' intentions, and was happy to play along. "I like Sister more than she likes me. She is so good to me and always gives me the best of everything." She tucked her hair behind her ear and waved at her parents. "Then I'll go help my sister!"

Neither the butler nor Anthony blinked at her disappearance, and the room went silent. The two guests had no intention of starting a conversation, as their business was already done, so Vaughn could only find a proper topic to chat about, while trying to make them forget the earlier situation where he had lost his composure.

"Please enjoy your tea before it gets cold. Since Daisy has gone to help, Aysel will be faster."

**Upstairs**

Aysel pulled out a few dresses, the most suitable ones she could wear outside without being seen as slutty or anything like the previous Aysel had been.

Probably to feel more confident, the former Aysel tended to wear extremely revealing clothes, evident from the low-cut dresses in her wardrobe.

However, this Aysel preferred pants—something she could wear and sit however she wanted without worrying about keeping her thighs closed or adjusting the straps of her dress. Unfortunately, that particular want only left her with two pairs of pants in her wardrobe.

She clenched her teeth and eventually picked a few other dresses. Once done, she grabbed her sneakers—there were only two pairs, probably meant to match the pants—and Aysel certainly found sneakers more comfortable than heels for obvious reasons–comfort. She also grabbed her underwear and some necessities. In the end, everything fit into her backpack.

She zipped it up with some difficulty and then proceeded to walk out. The door was nearly slammed into her face, however, and it would have hit her nose if she hadn't taken a quick step back.

"Daisy?" She glanced at the unwanted visitor who treated her room as if it were hers.

Daisy's demeanor had changed, and her eyes were filled with daggers. Her lips curled up in scorn as she looked at her sister.

"If you're here just to stare at me and admire my gorgeousness, you'd better move, as I need to go." Aysel informed.

Daisy rolled her eyes in disdain after hearing Aysel's words and laughed faintly, showing her canines before shaking her head, as if she had heard the world's funniest joke. "Beauty? You?" She stared at Aysel's gorgeous face, and her heart clenched tightly.

Though she didn't want to admit it, Aysel was looking better... Wait! She must have applied nude makeup. Yes, nude makeup—that's why she seemed to be glowing.

"She'll never look as good as me—not in this life, not in the next one," she thought, finally calming herself and chiding herself for ever thinking otherwise.

She and Aysel were from two different worlds. Daisy was destined to be Cinderella, while Aysel was bound to be the evil Drizella.

Daisy was and always would be heaven's favored daughter. Her career would blossom in a few years, and by then, she would marry Michael, her boyfriend, and live happily ever after. Meanwhile, Aysel would be bullied until she couldn't take it anymore and would leave the industry. Nathaniel would die, and Aysel would become nothing more than a woman despised by the world.

Her malicious thoughts gave her relief, and she finally went straight to the reason for her presence. Her eyes were filled with arrogance, as if she were doing Aysel a favor, and she raised her chin loftily. "Get me some suitable resources after you meet Mr. Grant. I'm not begging, by the way. I might just decide to help you do better in the industry if you manage to get me something good."

Aysel scoffed, her gaze filled with ridicule as she stared at Daisy. She found the girl stupidly cute. She grabbed a strand of her brown hair, twirling it between her fingers as her grey eyes bore into Daisy's blue ones. "You want good resources?"

Daisy smacked her hand away, disgust visible on her face. "Don't touch me with your filthy hands."

Aysel didn't take offense, except her eyes grew cold and her smile disappeared. She grabbed Daisy's chin, lifting it up, clearly not heeding warnings. "If you want the best resources, go and work for them like I'm about to. But if you want them from me, you can ascend to heaven first."

"It's your honor, stupid bitch!" Daisy sneered, trying to slap Aysel's hand away, but Aysel had already moved her hand.

Aysel's eyes twinkled as she walked out, nudging Daisy just hard enough for her to fall into the room and a dull thud sounded as the latter hit her head on the floor.

"You snarky bitch!!!"
