Chapter 1: A Second Chance
Sounds of a bustling city reverberate through the air, inducing an atmosphere one would expect from Tokyo, Japan.
Laughter, roaring vehicles, horns blaring, Ueno-Tokyo line announcements, and convenience store chimes.
Despite the near limitless sounds, it is silent, the only sounds Gaman and Aikiko hear are the sounds of rushing air as they plummet through the air.
Idols, wretched by the intense pressure to perform by their numerous fans under strict and rigid management. Unable to form relationships, live a lifestyle separate from their idol persona, or develop any form of life outside of their work.
Former athletes scarred by limitless stressful lives, constant belittlement from people, and surmounting pressure.
An accumulation of events led to a single moment, a moment two individuals hoped could ease a seemingly endless struggle.
The calm air is interrupted by two individuals, Gaman (21) and Aikiko (22).
As the two descend abruptly, a bright light glistens, and in an instant, Gaman and Aikiko vanish out of thin air, landing softly in a bright room.
The two look up in confusion, now surrounded by people clad in medieval-era armor and cloth.
A figure then rises and begins to address the two, surrounded by the blinding glare of the sun as its light exudes through a giant mosaic window.
" Greetings heroes, I understand thou must be confused, but worry not. I bring you here under the pretext of goodwill and sincerely hope thou will comply with my wishes. "
" I, the fifth King of the Kingdom of Kiseki, humbly ask for your help in defeating the Demon King. "
" If you may pardon my intrusion upon your lives in thy past world, I wish to bestow the two of you with magical powe- "
" Yes! " The two yell in unison, seemingly understating the current situation.
The King, confused, responds.
" You will? I thought this would take more convincing. "
After a short pause, the two respond.
" No way, you just gave us the opportunity of a lifetime! "
" We would gladly accept! "
" I see thus I will now bestow upon you the best magical prowess I can provide. "
A glistening light showers the room as it flows towards Gaman and Aikiko, causing them to glow.
They are lifted off the ground until they are shimmering with black and white colors.
" Now, as the King of Kiseki, I grant you both the rank of hero, and from this day forward, we hold you in the highest regard as you seek to save our world. "
The glistening light surrounding Aikido and Gaman slowly fades as they are then placed back on the ground.
An individual then approaches the two.
"Pardon me, heroes, but if you may follow me to test thou new powers."
Gaman politely excuses himself from the room and its inhabitants, expressing his calm yet respectful nature.
Aikido does the same in a more connecting way, expressing her charismatic and caring personality.
" Before I take you into your new home, the King would like to observe the powers you have awakened, thus if you may follow me. "
The twins follow the individual, observing the interior of an enormous castle, when they reach another glamourous window.
Gaman observes the sky, viewing a major distinction from Earth, as eight visible moons are laminating in the afternoon sky.
" Oh, do pardon me, heroes. My name is Miro, and I am the firstborn of the great King. " He says as he bows down, demonstrating exquisite manners.
" Yes, we have the great eight moons, from which the name of the highest knightly order of our kingdom is derived: The Great Eight of Kiseki. " Miro relays as he reads the confusion plastered on Gaman and Aikiko's faces.
" Each moon is believed to be the source of the powers throughout our planet, years past, an astronomical event took place that shook the systematical way in which our solar system operates. "
" Since fourth, our kingdom has been named Kiseki, a word used by a previous Great Knight in which he detailed to be "Miracle."
Gaman and Aikiko share a glance at each other in response to this statement.
The three continue to walk through the glamorous castle, eventually reaching the courtyard where a vast and bustling kingdom is seen from overhead.
" Your place of destination is located over there, towards the eastward section of the kingdom. " Miro states, pointing towards a large one-story building with multiple sections and an abundantly sized yard.
" I am sorry to inform you that I may not transfer you there personally, as I have other matters to attend to at the moment. "
" Please pardon me and take care, heroes. "
Miro says as he quickly walks away, late for another matter but not wanting to offend Gaman or Aikiko.
" Aikiko, it's beautiful out there, isn't it? " Gaman asks as they hold their hands in unison.
" That's a bit rhetorical, but yes, it's beautiful out here…. This world.. ( Aikiko starts to say in a more somber voice) It's new, we're free. " She finishes as tears silently splash on the glamourous marble beneath their feet.
A silent sound that echoes the passing of their old lives, breaking through to a new age for Gaman and Aikiko.
The two stand in unison and silence until sunset, unified by the beauty of a new world and free from the chains of sorrow from their previous lives.
A new world where Gaman and Aikiko are reborn.
The two then set off, walking through the palace in silence, no longer chained by their past lives, they walk past the palace guards no longer as Gaman and Aikiko.
They step through the gates, with a clear goal in mind, into a new world.
They freely embrace the task of defeating the Demon King, no longer their old selves, Aikiko reborn as Hana and Gaman reborn as Iki.
From this moment forward, as the wind flows, the sun rises, and the moon sets, Hana and Iki embrace their new future.
