"Yes, quite unfortunate indeed," a familiar voice said.
They turn to see Renna standing there, calm and poised, her gaze resting on Kaleb.
"Apologies, I didn't mean to startle you. I just thought I should extend my condolences after hearing that story. Losing your memories must be…. a challenging experience."
"What do you want Renna?" Victor asked, his tone hard and cold.
Renna raises a brow, a small, amused smile on her lips.
"Don't be like that Victor. After all, we're business partners now."
"What happened with the meeting?"
"Well, let's just say… William….. isn't exactly in the right frame of mind to talk right now, thanks to you."
Victor's expression remains cold and unreadable. He gives a slight shrug, his voice even.
"Okay, so why are you here then?"
Renna's eyes shift to Rayna, a curious glint flashing in them.
