Yo! 7th chapter done! Sorry for taking a bit to post. If you didn't see, I stepped on a shit ton of broken glass and had to deal with that, so I figured taking a bit of a break couldn't hurt. But I'm back now! There's also some other shit for the reason I took so long to upload again, but I already typed it out once in my other story, and I'm too lazy to type it again or copy and paste it, but I don't think you care at all, so no need for it anyway.
Also, there's a bit of a bullshit reason for Yuta not being able to copy a specific 'Cursed Technique' during this chapter, but don't worry. Trust the process. It'll very happen soon.
GIMME POWER STONE FOR NO MORE GLASS IN MY FOOT!!! LETS FUCKING GO!! I CAN WALK AGAIN!!!!!
Enjoy the chapter!
...
2014: Tokyo, Japan. 1:00 PM
Megumi, Gojo, and Yuta stood outside the 'Zenin Clan' household when they saw two people coming out to greet them.
There was a man with mid-length, gray hair slicked back and a long, thin mustache. He was wearing a brown yukata with a black sash. He was holding a gourd filled with sake in his right hand.
Next to him was a young man in his 20s with dyed blonde hair accented with his dark green roots and three piercings in his left ear. He wore a long white sleeve underneath his dark blue kimono.
*GULP* *GULP* *GULP*
The older man took a few swigs from his gourd before he wiped his mouth. He nodded and grinned at Gojo, to which the white-haired man responded with a slight nod.
"I see you made it, Gojo. My son, Naoya, insisted on coming to meet the user of the 'Ten Shadows Technique'." The man said, knowing damn well his dumbass son just wanted to cause trouble, to which the now-named Naoya smirked arrogantly as he looked at Yuta and Megumi.
"Megumi, Yuta, this is the head of the 'Zenin Clan,' Naobito Zenin, and his son," Gojo told the two with him. Megumi rolled his eyes, already knowing this, but Yuta nodded.
When Naobito looked at Megumi with his smirk, the black-haired kid felt his annoyance rising. Before he could say anything, Naoya's face suddenly turned ice-cold as he glanced behind him at the female attendant following the two.
"Back up. Stand three steps behind me." He said coldly, making her flinch and look at the ground before she took three long and exaggerated steps back. When Naoya saw that, he nodded in satisfaction before turning back around.
Yuta felt he had already gotten a good first impression on the head of the 'Zenin Clan' and his son.
'This guy is just a drunk, which I can deal with. On the other hand, I don't like his son at all.' Yuta thought to himself as he frowned at Naoya.
Gojo grinned, and Megumi raised an eyebrow when Yuta stepped toward the two Zenins, making the two look at him.
"Why are you talking to her like that? What did she do to deserve that?" Yuta said with a frown, making the older man raise an eyebrow, and Naoya's arrogant smile turned malicious.
"She's a woman, that's why." He said, making Yuta's face turn cold.
"I see. Do you have a training ground here? I want to ask for a spar." Yuta said in a tone that made none of those present believe he only wanted to spar.
Naobito grinned at Yuta while Naoya scowled at him.
"You damn brat-" *SNAP*
Before Naoya could start shouting angrily, Yuta reached under his shirt and pulled out his ring hanging on a string around his neck.
"Just shut up."
*FWOOOOM*
Everyone except Gojo, who grinned widely, flinched when, right after Yuta put his ring on his right ring finger, their senses were flooded with the most evil and unsettling 'Cursed Energy' they had ever sensed.
After a few seconds, Yuta regained his 'Cursed Energy'. Once he did so, Naobito snorted in amusement as he saw Gojo's excited grin, as if his favorite show had finally come on.
*SNORT*
*GULP* *GULP* *GULP*
After taking a few seconds to take a few more swigs from his gourd, the clan head looked over at the kid, who looked like he wanted to kill his dumbass son.
"Okkotsu, right?" Naobito asked. If someone asked him if he recognized the kid, he'd be lying if he said he didn't. A kid living with Satoru Gojo with that much 'Cursed Energy' is hard to hide from everybody.
Yuta glanced at Naobito and nodded, making the man grin.
"Let's go to the training grounds for your fight with my son, shall we? Just don't break too much of my shit." Naobito said, knowing damn well a kid with that much 'Cursed Energy' who was trained by the only person he could say was faster than him wasn't someone to take lightly, no matter how old they were.
Yuta just nodded in response while ignoring the 4 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' who were around the same strength as Naobito, who surrounded them and were all looking at him cautiously while the man was talking.
Naoya smiled arrogantly at Yuta before turning and walking back inside and toward the training grounds, prompting Yuta to follow him.
Naobito lazily waved his hand, making the 4 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' disappear before he raised an eyebrow at the grinning Gojo, making the white-haired man turn his grin into a cocky smirk as he faced him.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go watch your son get his ass kicked!!"
.
.
*WHAM* *COUGH*
"Weak."
When Naoya and Yuta made it to the training ground with Megumi, Gojo, and Naobito a few paces behind them, Yuta heard someone get struck and cough from the impact before an insult was thrown.
Yuta looked over and saw a girl with long black hair tied into a short ponytail. She wore glasses and a white yukata and was down on one knee, holding her stomach in pain.
Next to her was a girl almost identical to the first girl, except her black hair only reached her neck, and she didn't wear glasses.
She barely reacted when the girl, who seemed to be her identical twin, was hit hard enough to draw his attention from the other side of the room. This made Yuta frown, but as he looked closer, he noticed a familiar emotion in her and the other girl's eyes.
The same emotion he felt when he didn't even leave his room because he knew Rika-chan would attack anyone who got near to him, even his own family.
Helplessness.
'Is everyone in this family an asshole?' Yuta thought to himself as he watched the man backhand the girl who was still standing on the side of her head, sending her flying to the ground while the girl wearing glasses watched in disbelief.
*BOOM* *COUGH*
"MAI!!!"
Yuta gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as the girl he now knew as Mai was kicked hard enough to make her spit up blood. The other girl shouted her name while forcing herself up before she ran over to her in horror.
*SMACK*
The man smacked the girl, running over in the forehead with the hilt of his katana hard enough that Yuta was surprised the girl's skull didn't crack.
"I didn't ask you to help me…"
"You dumbass, of course, I'm going to help you…"
Yuta heard the girls muttering to each other from their spots on the ground while the man shook his head in disappointment.
"You two are useless. I've said it before, and I'll repeat it: children shouldn't hold back their parents, " the man said as he looked at the two girls, his face filled with disappointment and regret.
When Yuta heard that, the entire world around him went still, and the only things still moving were himself, the two girls, and the man he realized he didn't like at all.
'Wait, he just said he was their parent? This is how a father treats his daughters in this place?' Yuta thought to himself in disbelief.
While Yuta knew in theory that in the world of 'Jujutsu', there were bound to be bad people who used 'Jujutsu' for the wrong reasons, along with 'Curses' who committed horrible acts as naturally as breathing, he also subconsciously hoped for them to be false, at least to a degree.
Yuta wished for the world of 'Jujutsu' to be filled with kindness despite knowing that everything related to it revolves around negative emotions.
Most people will either accept the darkness around the world of 'Jujutsu' and submit to the balance or do their best to bend the darkness to their will to fight against the balance.
Yuta Okkotsu, someone who believes his strength has come from the help of the people around him, did neither.
When Yuta Okkotsu witnessed the true darkness of the world of 'Jujustu' for the first time in his life, he rejected it with all his mind, body, and soul.
*FWOOOOM*
Every member of the 'Zenin Clan' in the vicinity was frozen stiff when they felt the enormous amount of 'Cursed Energy' constantly surging from the boy.
"What parent puts their mistakes on their children's shoulders?" Yuta said coldly as he glared at Ogi Zenin, a 'Special Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer'.
Naoya looked at Yuta with widened eyes before he narrowed them and scowled.
'He's even more upset after watching those two useless bitches get put in their place. Even if he has a ton of 'Cursed Energy', he's just an idiot.' Naoya thought condescendingly, not caring that the boy had insulted his clan.
Ogi snapped out of the daze he was forced into when he felt Yuta's 'Cursed Energy' after a few seconds and was now matching Yuta's glare with his own.
"You need to learn your place, boy." The man said as he strengthened his body with 'Cursed Energy' and started walking towards Yuta, completely disregarding his two daughters on the ground, who were both bleeding from their heads.
When Yuta saw that, he couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
"I can't understand you at all. How could you possibly be so selfish?!"
Yuta's words made Ogi narrow his eyes, but before he could unsheathe his katana, Naoya suddenly appeared behind Yuta, his foot digging into Yuta's side.
"What happened to fighting me!?" Naoya snarled out and kicked Yuta as hard as he could.
*CRACK* *BOOOM*
Yuta felt a couple of his ribs crack from the kick as he was launched to the side, but Naoya was already behind him, grabbing him by the leg before he could react. Yuta could barely process the fact his ribs had gotten cracked as he was flung back toward where he started.
*BOOM*
Yuta was once again shot across the room, but this time, he didn't get hit right away. As Yuta got back to his feet, he noticed Naoya was nowhere to be found.
"You should've kept your mouth shut." Yuta frowned when he heard Naoya's voice behind him and felt Naoya's palm on his back. When he tried to turn around, he found himself frozen.
Naoya grinned mockingly at the frame that held a frowning Yuta as he threw a hard punch at his frozen face.
*CRACK* *BOOOM*
*BOOM* *BOOM*
The frame was destroyed, sending Yuta to the ground and bouncing on the ground harshly twice. Naoya appeared a couple of meters before him with his arrogant smirk.
"Why did you get mad at Ogi for putting those two in their place? Those two are useless. One of them can't even use 'Cursed Energy', and the other has a shitty 'Cursed Technique' and doesn't even want to be a 'Jujutsu Sorcerer'. Why would someone blessed like you waste your energy on them?" Naoya asked mockingly but with a genuine curiosity hiding underneath it. It was like he genuinely couldn't understand Yuta's actions.
Before Naoya could keep mocking Yuta, he and every Zenin watching the fight opened their eyes wide in surprise when Yuta healed himself with his 'Reverse Cursed Technique'. After he did so, he got up into a crouching position with his katana held out in front of him.
Naoya's surprise grew exponentially as Yuta opened his 'Simple Domain' with a 5-meter radius around himself, catching the Zenin inside it.
Only the 'Six-Eyes' wielder could see precisely what happened next because of how fast it occurred. The other user of 'Projection Sorcerery' could see the beginning and the end, but not the in-between. Everyone else could only see a blur and the aftermath.
Using his 'Innate Technique', 'Projection Sorcery', Naoya divides one second into twenty-four animation frames with his field of view as the projection angle of view. He can trace a predetermined set of movements into those twenty-four frames and execute them in that single second, making him appear unnaturally fast.
Of course, this was nearly impossible for anyone to see unless they possessed a unique means of perception, as he changed his position 24 times in a second.
It's too bad for Naoya that Yuta didn't need to perceive him at all.
He only required him to enter his 'Simple Domain', and the programming he had incorporated into it, which automatically intercepted anything that intruded on it, did the rest.
Ironically enough, because of his arrogance and surprise, Naoya couldn't use 'Projection Sorcery' in time, and thus, he wasn't fast enough to escape Yuta's 'Simple Domain' in time.
'New Shadow Style: Evening Moon Sword Drawing'
*SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK* *SHNK*
Naoya's eyes widened when he felt his body get stabbed countless times before he was able to use 'Projection Sorcery' to escape Yuta's 'Simple Domain'.
Unfortunately for him, because of how fast it happened, he hadn't noticed one of the countless stabs he had just endured stabbed right under his right kneecap, which shredded through his ACL, MCL, and Meniscus.
This prevented Naoya from putting weight on his right leg, which in turn caused him to not adhere to the 24 frames he set.
"So you can get trapped in the frame, too?" Yuta couldn't help but smirk a bit when he saw his opponent get himself caught in the same frame he was just trapped in.
He brought his fist back as he used the 'Extension Technique' of the 'Ratio Technique' on the frozen Naoya, creating multiple weak spots on Zenin's framed chest.
'Extension: Stack!!!'
*CRACK* *BOOOOOM*
*COUGH*
Naoya coughed up blood but still smirked arrogantly as he made eye contact with Yuta. The reason for this smirk?
*SHNK*
Ogi appeared behind Yuta, his katana covered in flames from his 'Cursed Technique' 'Blazing Courage'.
Yuta glanced at the man, his flaming blade aimed at his neck, before he uttered one word to guarantee the attack failed.
"Rika"
*BOOOOM* *CRACK*
"DDOONNNTTTT BBUULLLYYYY YUTAAAAAA!!!!!"
*BOOOOM*
Naoya's eyes widened in alarm when a massive fist appeared out of nowhere. He punched Ogi hard enough to break the man's arm and send him flying through the closest wall.
*BOOM*
Naoya landed harshly on the ground before his feeling of alarm turned to confusion and fear of the unknown as he watched Yuta unsheathe his katana and cover it in the same flames Ogi's blade was covered in just a few moments.
He watched as Yuta zoned out while inspecting his flaming katana.
That feeling of confusion and fear grew when he saw the owner of the massive fist appear out of what he could only describe as a pitch-black space that came out of nowhere, just like the original punch.
Behind Yuta was a 'Shikigami' with a white skull-shaped head, horizontal lines going down it, no eyes, and long teeth. Most of her body was a black mass, but she also had two muscular, human-like arms sticking out of the black mass.
"Hmm, 'Blazing Courage', a 'Cursed Technique' that creates flames out of 'Cursed Energy' and lets the user channel the flames through a weapon... Seems pretty useful..." Yuta muttered as he analyzed the 'Cursed Technique' he copied from Ogi.
'I only saw him use it for a moment, but this guy seems like he's using his 'Cursed Technique' like an idiot. Setting your katana on fire is pretty cool, but there are many better ways to use a 'Cursed Technique' that turns your 'Cursed Energy' into flames.' Yuta thought to himself before remembering he was in a fight.
When he looked up where Naoya was, he only saw a puddle of blood. He went on guard as he scanned his surroundings, but after a minute of nothing happening, he stood up straight.
When he realized he hadn't seen Naoya use his 'Cursed Technique' because he was moving too fast, thus he hadn't been able to copy it or learn about it, he covered his free hand in 'Positive Energy' and held it up.
"I'll heal you if you let me watch you use your 'Cursed Technique'." Yuta offered to seemingly no one. He pouted lightly when he didn't get a response.
"I swear I'll get that 'Cursed Technique' someday..." Yuta muttered to himself in irritation, wishing he could copy it to learn how he got frozen. After a few seconds of lamenting missing out on being fast, he shrugged.
'I'll just ask Gojo-sensei about it and come back here at some point to copy it when I know I'll be able to see it.' He thought to himself before he looked at the hole in the wall that he could still sense Ogi in before he looked over at his sensei and new friend.
He sweat-dropped when he saw Megumi staring at him like he was a freak of nature, and Gojo-sensei was grinning like a kid in a candy store.
Naobito, who had watched everything with a grin even when his son was forced to flee like a coward, finally became solemn when he saw Yuta using 'Blazing Courage'.
'This kid has immeasurable 'Cursed Energy', can copy 'Cursed Techniques', and is trained by the current wielder of the 'Six-Eyes' and 'Limitless'. What a terrifying thought. The kid can even output 'Positive Energy', which he probably copied from the 'Reversed Cursed Technique' specialist at 'Jujutsu High'.' The clan head thought to himself.
*SIGH*
Naobito sighed as he shook his head before looking back at Yuta.
"They've been annoying lately, so rough them up for me. Especially that idiot who your 'Shikigami' just punched through a wall. Just heal them up when you're done." Naobito said with a grin to hide the wariness in his heart.
'If this kid could copy Ogi's 'Blazing Courage' just by watching it be used, what's stopping him from doing the same with my 'Projection Sorcery'? Or even...' Naobito trailed off in his thoughts as he glanced at Megumi, not even wanting to think about the possibility.
Yuta glanced at the hole in the wall Ogi made when Rika-chan punched him, but his excited sensei did first before Yuta could speak up.
"Go on, finish your fight. Those idiots from before are coming here because of all the noise you made, but I'll ensure they don't get in your way even if they don't listen to this old man." Gojo said cheekily, making Naobito give him a glare that he just chuckled at.
Yuta looked at Megumi and saw him looking annoyed with the situation. Yuta smiled nervously when he saw that.
"Hehe, I'll make it quick?" Yuta asked more than said, making Megumi roll his eyes. Yuta smiled at him before turning to Rika-chan behind him and pointing at the two girls still on the ground.
"Rika-chan, can you heal those two while I fight the guy you punched?" Yuta asked, surprised when she seemed to pout at him. Since her curse had been unraveled and left behind the Rika 'Shikigami', the 'Shikigami' version of her always listened to him no matter what and even acted based on what they thought would be best for Yuta.
"Hahaha, even if you're just a 'Shikigami' of your old self, you still get jealous? Don't worry. You can help me after you heal them if you want to." Yuta reassured, making Rika perk up before happily approaching the two injured girls who could barely stay awake.
Yuta smiled at that before he turned and started walking toward the hole in the wall to go beat up the idiot that pissed him off and sucked with his own 'Cursed Technique'.
"I gotta beat up that annoying fast guy again, too... Well, I could always come back..." Yuta muttered to himself as he walked through the hole.
A few seconds after he did so, the 4 'Jujutsu Sorcerers' that appeared when they first got here appeared one after another behind Naobito.
There was a muscular man with wild, spiky hair and an X-shaped scar on his forehead who was wearing a dark-colored kimono and was barefoot.
Next to him was an old, short man with his hair done in a mohawk with a weird expression of him grinning with his eyes closed.
On the giant man's other side was a young man of shorter stature than the large man he was next to. He had wide eyes, dark, disheveled hair tied into a low ponytail, and was wearing a light-colored kimono.
Next to the young man was a middle-aged man with dark-colored hair styled into a pompadour with sideburns. He was wearing a formal, light-colored costume.
The large man in the front looked at Naobito questioningly.
"What's going on, Naobito?" the man asked the clan head, but before he could answer, the man and the other three who came with him froze when Satoru Gojo appeared with a cheerful smile.
"Could you guys just sit here for a minute? My student and that dumbass over there have something they need to work out." He asked as he pointed at the hole in the wall, making them all look over.
"Sensei, you can let the four stronger ones at the front come."
They all turned to see Yuta walking over while dragging an unconscious Ogi by his collar with his left hand and holding his katana covered in flames with 'Blazing Courage' in his right.
"I'm gonna fight those three, Gojo-sensei. I gotta copy more 'Cursed Techniques' somehow, right?" Yuta asked, making both Gojo and the large man beside Naobito grin, with one being more malicious than the other.
