The wind howled through the cracks of the broken window, sending a shiver down Sorn's spine. He instinctively wrapped his arms around himself. His gaze flicked to the outside. No sign of zombies tonight—wasn't it suspiciously peaceful?
"Your sister..." Ralf finally spoke, and Sorn, grumpy and defensive, turned his eyes toward him. "She's in a place that relocates every two years. I know because I was there once."
"You were there?" Sorn repeated skeptically, his tone guarded.
Ralf nodded. "I didn't interact with her, but Selena and I were both under government supervision. People like us... our existence is a secret. They've been hiding immune individuals, moving them from one island to another every couple of years. They go to great lengths to ensure no one else finds out about us. Because of that, I can't say where your sister is right now."
