The air in the chamber hung heavy as Celos Vex fell to his knees, dark Ether still swirling faintly around him, but his power visibly weakening. Ethan, Prella, and Lillith stood over him, the silence eerie after the intense battle. For a moment, it seemed as though the fight was over.
But then a deep rumble shook the ground beneath them, and from beyond the walls of the stronghold, a sound like thunder rolled through the chamber. Ethan's eyes widened as he realized what was happening. "It's not over yet…"
Prella, her senses sharp, felt it too. "He's launched his fleet."
Lillith's face darkened, her eyes darting toward the exit. "We need to get back to the Ark. The battle out there is starting."
But Celos Vex slowly raised his head, his lips curling into a cruel smile despite his weakened state. "You're too late," he rasped, his voice filled with dark satisfaction. "The galaxy is mine now."
