Chapter 84 - Chapter 84

We left the burning neighborhood. Everything was burning red hot. The ringleader told us many things. Not only did they harvest people for organs, but they also sold them alive to rich perverts. I have the addresses. I'll check them out when I have time. But I couldn't stand what I saw.

Tens of thousands of people come to the capital every year. And five percent of them stay. And when I saw that pile of corpses, I blew a fuse. I burned them all. Only the kidnappers were left alive. The block burned for a long time because my flames can't be put out. It took an hour for everything to burn to ashes.

And in the morning, the shit hit the fan. The people I rescued told the police. And they couldn't keep it quiet because the reporters got wind of it and put it in the papers. So a lot of people got burned. Arrests, arrests, and more arrests.

When the hype started to die down, in the evening I went to the house of the director of one of the newspapers that printed the first edition and offered him a sensation. The man took the bait, got people up, and in the morning

And we were quietly attending a tournament where Azula was relieving her stress. Poor contestants. Funny thing about the boy. He wore a water belt, but he didn't use magic. And I was protecting him. The intrigue wasn't childish. Basically, there is only one person fighting, Azula. With the blue flame.

They figured out who we were pretty quickly. But there's no rule that says we can't participate. So we had fun.

A month later Lyn joined us. Just after we passed the sectionals.

«Hello», she bowed politely, «I'm Lin, the police captain and Toph's daughter», I opened my mouth in surprise.

«Little Toph had a boyfriend?» I really freaked out, «Ahem. Yoko, nice to meet you» and we shook hands «How is Toph?»

«She's fine», she shrugged, «I'm here about something else. Several people claim to have seen you in the same establishment just before the fire.»

«There were», I nodded, «I'll tell you more than that. We were the ones who burned it down. To prove it, I lit a red flame on my hand. Immediately it smelled hot.»

«Why?» she asked in shock.

«Because they deserved it», Azula said calmly.

«You didn't see what I saw», I said, «A mountain of corpses. And every one of them missing some kind of organ. Old men, men, boys, girls and women, and dead children lying around downstairs, you know? The whole block belonged to the head of the gang, and that's where it all went down. That's why I burned it down.»

«They should have been tried!» she said, a little out of breath.

«Tell that to your guys who got fired for murder», I muttered irritably, «Tell that to the guys who saw the consequences of their atrocities and ask them if I did the right thing!» I calmed down a bit and continued calmly, «You can report to your superiors that I did it. But if I'm arrested for killing innocents, I will level this city and bury anyone who says so. Tell that to your superiors, and now get out of here.»

And she walked away with her head down. Because she knew I was right.
