Chapter 265 - Chapter 265: Baltigo - Preparing for Landing

Due to Enel's extravagant shopping spree, the vegetable vendor made several times more money than usual.

Seeing this, other vendors also greeted Enel with smiles, giving him all sorts of exaggerated compliments whenever he passed by.

In less than ten minutes, Enel had spent all the money he brought with him, while still having only bought half of what was on Kaku's shopping list...

Back on the ship.

Takumi looked at the pile of random items Enel brought back and asked in disbelief, "What is all this?"

Enel muttered, "Supplies..."

Takumi: "..."

"Uh, captain," Enel said with an awkward smile, "I ran out of money, and there's still a lot we haven't bought yet..."

Takumi: "..."

At this moment, Kaku returned.

Seeing what Enel had bought, he was stunned. Then, unable to help but smile wryly, Kaku asked, "Did you actually follow the list I gave you?"

"Of course I did," Enel said confidently. "I bought everything you wrote down!"

"Nonsense!" Kaku said, exasperated. "Most of what you bought isn't even on the list. Wait... did you spend all the money I gave you?"

Enel silently nodded.

Kaku almost laughed in frustration. "These things could have been bought for half of what I gave you. You got scammed by those islanders, didn't you?"

"What?!" Enel asked angrily. "I got scammed?!"

Kaku sighed. "I knew I shouldn't have let you go alone... forget it, I'll go again myself."

Kaku looked at Takumi and said, "Captain, we'll have to go back to town."

Takumi shrugged indifferently. "Fine."

Enel, visibly upset, said, "No way, I'm coming too! Damn it, how dare they scam me! I'll shock them all to death!"

"Stop it," Kaku said, shaking his head. "Consider it a lesson. Besides, I can't carry everything by myself. Big guy, you'll come with me this time, but just to carry stuff, no causing trouble."

Enel: "..."

"He stays on the ship," Takumi suddenly said. "I'm going."

Enel and Kaku both stared at him in surprise.

Takumi said nonchalantly, "I need a walk."

"Uh... are you sure I shouldn't go?" Enel asked, his face twitching.

"No need," Takumi replied casually, then jumped down to the shore.

Kaku told Enel, "Keep an eye on the ship," before following Takumi.

The two walked for a while in silence until Takumi unexpectedly spoke first. "How's your injury?"

Kaku smiled. "Haha, it's nothing serious. I got some medicine, and I'll just rest on the ship. The bones might take half a year or more to fully heal."

Takumi: "..."

Healing broken bones by oneself? Impossible.

After a moment of silence, Takumi suddenly stopped.

Seeing this, Kaku asked curiously, "Captain, what's wrong?"

Takumi gestured for him to come closer with a curling finger.

Confused, Kaku walked over. As soon as he got close, Takumi raised his hand, saying nothing, and used Healing Palm to treat Kaku.

"Huh? Captain, you're..." Kaku asked, surprised. "Weren't you going to let me heal on my own?"

Takumi said indifferently, "You've suffered enough as punishment. That's enough."

Kaku hesitated for a moment, considering refusing since it was indeed his punishment. But seeing Takumi's determined expression, he remained silent.

In just a few minutes, Takumi healed Kaku's injuries.

Afterward, Takumi retracted his hand, resumed walking towards town, and said, "You're healed. You carry the supplies by yourself."

"Got it, no problem," Kaku smiled and followed. "Captain, thank you."

Takumi: "..."

Once Takumi and Kaku had bought all the supplies, Enel used his ability to get the ship moving again, heading in the direction Takumi indicated.

After almost a month of drifting, a barren island, devoid of greenery and filled with sand and rocks, finally appeared in front of the three.

"What's with that island?" Enel asked, seeing Takumi gazing at the barren land.

Takumi replied calmly, "We've arrived at Baltigo."

"Huh?" Enel asked, astonished. "This is Baltigo? It's so desolate! Hold on, let me check out the island."

As he spoke, Enel used his Observation Haki to scan the area, quickly reaching a conclusion. "There's only one building and a few dozen people on that island, nothing else... Why are we even here? Are we looking for someone?"

Takumi answered, "More or less."

Though he wasn't particularly eager to go to Baltigo, he had no choice since his mission led him here.

"Uh... who are we looking for?" Enel asked, confused. "You have friends on this desolate island? Wait, do you even have friends?"

Takumi responded by delivering a swift punch, sending Enel sprawling onto the deck.

Kaku watched this without any surprise. "Since we're here, we might as well rest for a while. We've been drifting at sea for days now."

From Enies Lobby to Baltigo, the ship had passed by two other unknown islands in addition to the one where they bought supplies.

Enel got up from the deck with a look of frustration. "Why do you always have to hit my head? Can't you pick a different spot?"

Takumi glanced at him calmly and said, "Fine, next time, I'll hit your face."

Enel: "..."

Soon, the ship flew past Baltigo's coastline, heading towards the island's only large stone building.

When the ship appeared before a lookout stationed on the island, the lookout quickly grabbed a Den Den Mushi and urgently reported, "I see a ship approaching. It looks like the one belonging to Takumi's crew, who are wanted by the World Government. Go notify the officers immediately."

Inside the stone building, another tall man who had received the signal hurriedly set aside his work and rushed to a room dedicated to gathering intelligence. He informed his superior, a man named Terry Gilteo, who was wearing a bear-shaped helmet and smoking a cigarette.

"What? Takumi's crew is here?" Gilteo's lips twitched, a headache brewing. "They couldn't have picked a worse time... they just had to come when the leader's away."

The subordinate was puzzled and asked, "What should we do? The leader and most of the officers are out. Takumi's crew likely didn't come here by coincidence. They're probably looking for the leader."

Gilteo pondered for a moment before replying, "Go get Haku. I'll go meet Takumi myself."

"Alright, understood!"

After the subordinate left the intelligence room, Gilteo stood up, picked up the transponder snail that connected him to Dragon, and hurried outside the stone building.
