Takumi looked calmly at Mihawk.
As soon as he turned his head, Mihawk's black blade was already swinging towards him, aiming dangerously close to Takumi's neck.
Even though Takumi could tell that Mihawk had no intention of actually killing him and that this strike was likely just for show, he still didn't appreciate being threatened with a blade.
In an instant, Takumi drew his sword, Toya Lake, and quickly blocked Mihawk's strike.
As the two swords clashed, a small wave of pressure spread outward, but nothing around them was disturbed.
Both men stared coldly at each other, neither willing to back down.
After about a minute of this tense standoff, Mihawk finally sheathed his black blade, Yoru, and the oppressive aura weighing down on Enel and Kaku also dissipated. Mihawk then spoke in his usual cold tone, "I won't capture you, and I couldn't even if I tried. You can leave."
As soon as Mihawk finished speaking, the system notification sounded in Takumi's mind.
[Ding! You have earned the recognition of the Shichibukai, Mihawk. Progress +20%.]
[Ding! Kuraigana Island sign-in task complete. Congratulations, you have obtained a new weapon, the Demon Blade Evil Spirit.]
A demon blade, Evil Spirit?
A new sword?
Before Takumi could think more about it, the system's voice rang out again.
[Ding! The Demon Blade Evil Spirit is a cursed blade from hell. Depending on the user's strength, it can inflict varying degrees of soul damage on the opponent. The blade's second-stage evolution will increase the user's attack speed, strength, and double the soul damage dealt.]
Physical injuries heal easily, but soul damage is no joke. It's not something that can be easily cured.
This blade is something special.
Takumi had originally thought the final reward might be some sort of advanced swordsmanship skill, but receiving this new sword wasn't a bad deal either. He decided to find a chance later to try it out.
Without thinking much more about it, Takumi snapped back to reality and said, "Alright, we'll leave tomorrow morning."
Mihawk nodded slightly before turning and heading back to his room.
Takumi glanced briefly at the slightly disheveled Enel and Kaku.
"Clean this place up and prepare to leave in the morning."
After saying that, Takumi left as well.
Enel and Kaku exchanged glances.
Before Kaku could say anything, Enel was already gone in a flash.
"You two…" Kaku chuckled helplessly. "Always running away when it's time to clean up. What a bad habit..."
Once Takumi returned to his room, he summoned the newly obtained Demon Blade Evil Spirit from his system's storage.
With just a thought, a small black blade about 20 centimeters long appeared in his hand. It had a skeleton decoration on the hilt, with one eye socket filled with a red gemstone and the other with a blue gemstone. The blade had a curved shape, and the entire sword emitted an eerie aura.
It looked fine when still, but when Takumi casually swung it a couple of times, a trail of black mist with red and blue sparkles followed the blade's path.
Takumi stood there for a moment, intrigued. He remembered the blade could undergo a second-stage evolution, and as he wondered how to trigger it, the sword suddenly started moving on its own.
Takumi let go of the blade, and it floated in the air in front of him. Right before his eyes, the sword split into two. Though both blades retained the same overall design, there was one key difference: the eyes of one skeleton were both red, while the other skeleton's eyes were both blue.
Interesting.
With a faint smile, Takumi reached out and grabbed both swords. He swung them in tandem, and while the special effects had already been flashy with one blade, with two it was even more over the top...
Though the swords felt good in his hands, the effects were just too flashy for Takumi's taste. For now, he decided to stash them away.
Without dwelling on it further, Takumi stored the Demon Blade Evil Spirit back in the system's storage.
He then opened up his status panel for a quick glance.

Enies Lobby... the location established by the World Government and home to Spandam and the CP9 members.
Looks like I'll be dealing with CP9 soon…
At Navy Headquarters.
After the phone call with Mihawk ended, the Marine who had made the call immediately went to the office of Fleet Admiral Sengoku to report.
"Admiral, Sir! The Shichibukai Mihawk answered the call. He should be on his way to Kuraigana Island now!"
The Marine stood at attention outside the office, speaking with energy and confidence.
Sengoku paused, his hand holding a cup of tea as he looked at the reporting Marine in surprise. "What did you say? Mihawk actually picked up the call?"
"Yes, Admiral!" the Marine confirmed.
After a moment of silence, Sengoku asked again, "What did he say?"
The Marine continued, "Mihawk said if he gets back and Takumi's crew is still on the island, he'll capture them."
Sengoku: "..."
"Alright, you can leave now," Sengoku said, sighing.
The Marine was confused, "Admiral, uh, did I say something wrong?"
"Never mind, just go get Garp."
"Oh, yes, right away!" The Marine saluted and quickly left Sengoku's office, heading off to find Vice Admiral Garp in the training grounds.
In about ten minutes, Garp casually strolled into Sengoku's office. Without hesitation, he plopped down in a chair and lazily asked, "Why'd you call me here this late?"
Sengoku's expression was serious. "I received word that Takumi's crew is on Kuraigana Island."
"And?" Garp asked nonchalantly, still picking his nose.
"That's where Mihawk lives," Sengoku continued.
"Oh, and?" Garp replied.
Sengoku looked exasperated. "The higher-ups want Mihawk to capture Takumi's crew. I had someone call Mihawk, and despite being hard to reach, he actually picked up. And then, that man who rarely works for the Government agreed to help capture Takumi. Doesn't that seem odd to you?"
A flicker of surprise passed through Garp's eyes, but it quickly faded. He yawned and said lazily, "Mihawk's always done his own thing, just like Takumi. Maybe he's in a good mood and felt like helping out."
"Nonsense!" Sengoku groaned, rubbing his temples. "It seems to me like Mihawk's not helping us at all, but is instead covering for Takumi's crew."
"Well, even if Mihawk is covering for them, what's that got to do with me? It's not my job to capture Takumi," Garp said with a yawn. "So, why did you call me here?"
Sengoku looked at Garp with a sly smile and said, "Capturing Takumi may not be your job, but catching pirates is. There are some pirate crews causing trouble in that area. Since you've got nothing else to do, why not go and handle it? And if you happen to see Kizaru struggling, give him a hand. After all, we're all in the Navy, it's only right to help each other out, don't you think?"
Garp: "..."
