Chapter 227 - Chapter 227: Kuraigana Island: An Unexpected Call

Faced with Enel's constant praise, Takumi let it go in one ear and out the other, completely ignoring him.

Within just a few minutes, Takumi used his healing technique to fully heal Enel's injuries.

Feeling his body, Enel even rolled on the ground twice to make sure he was fully recovered. Overjoyed, he spread his arms wide, intending to give Takumi a bear hug.

But Takumi used Flash Step to easily dodge Enel's embrace and glanced at the still-dazed Kaku, speaking calmly, "Your turn."

Coming to his senses, Kaku pointed to himself in surprise. "Me too?"

Takumi gave a slight nod.

Kaku chuckled awkwardly, "My injuries aren't serious, Captain. I'll be fine after a good night's sleep…"

"Are you dumb, long nose?" Enel said with disdain. "I had broken bones, and now I'm fully healed. It'll take Takumi just a few seconds to fix you up, so why suffer longer than you have to?"

"Well... you're right," Kaku admitted, scratching his head. "Captain Takumi, I'll take you up on your offer."

With that, Kaku obediently approached Takumi.

Without wasting any words, Takumi immediately began using his healing technique on Kaku.

As Kaku felt his injuries rapidly healing, he couldn't help but ask, "Captain Takumi, what is this ability of yours?"

"Palm Healing," Takumi answered simply.

"Palm Healing? So it's a medical ability?" Kaku paused, then asked, "Are you a Devil Fruit user?"

"No," Takumi replied flatly.

"Really? But this healing power is so strong…" Kaku found it hard to believe.

Enel was irritated by Kaku's questioning. "You're lucky to be healed, so stop asking so many questions, long nose."

"Hahaha, you're right," Kaku laughed awkwardly. "Sorry if I was too forward, Captain Takumi."

Takumi waved it off indifferently. "It's fine," he said as he lowered his hand. "You're all healed."

Since Kaku's injuries were minor, it took even less time than Enel's treatment.

"Wow, I'm completely healed!" Kaku jumped up and down a couple of times, amazed. "Even my stamina's restored. Captain Takumi, your Palm Healing is incredible!"

"It's alright," Takumi shrugged. "I don't plan on leaving the island for now. Use your time as you see fit."

"Got it," Enel grinned. "If I get hurt again, can I come to you for healing?"

Takumi gave a simple "Mm" in response.

Enel, in high spirits, laughed. "Hahaha, compared to when we first left Skypiea, you've really become more approachable, Takumi."

Takumi shot him an exasperated look. "If that's all, you two can get out now."

"Yahahahaha," Enel laughed carelessly. "Alright, long nose and I will head out first. I'll call you when it's time for dinner."

Takumi waved them off, signaling for them to leave.

Enel, grinning, patted Kaku on the back as they left Takumi's room.

Once outside, Kaku sighed. "This place has been abandoned for a long time. I doubt there's anything here to eat…"

"Then we'll fish in the sea and catch some seafood," Enel said nonchalantly. "I'll zap the fish with lightning, and you can catch them."

Kaku gave Enel a thumbs up. "You're a genius…"

The three of them stayed on Kuraigana Island for nearly two months.

They hadn't seen Mihawk or anyone else during that time.

In those two months, both Enel and Kaku had made considerable progress in their physical training.

Even the human imitator baboons on the island had grown significantly stronger during that time.

One evening, the three were having dinner in the castle's grand hall as usual.

As they ate, the peaceful atmosphere was suddenly broken by the sharp ringing of a Den Den Mushi.

"Huh? What's that noise?" Enel mumbled, biting into a grilled fish.

Kaku glanced down the hall where the sound was coming from. "It sounds like a Den Den Mushi. But that's strange... How could there be a Den Den Mushi here?"

Takumi remained silent.

It didn't surprise him that Mihawk had a Den Den Mushi.

But there were very few people in the world who knew Mihawk's number.

And as one of the Seven Warlords, there was a good chance this call was from the World Government.

Kaku turned to Takumi and asked, "Should we answer it and see who's calling?"

Takumi shook his head calmly. "No need."

At first, they ignored it, but the Den Den Mushi kept ringing, stopping for a few seconds before starting up again, annoying the three of them.

"This stupid thing is driving me crazy," Enel grumbled, standing up. "I'm going to smash it!"

"Wait," Kaku stopped him. "It could be an important call. How about we answer it and just stay silent for now?"

Enel looked at Takumi for approval.

Takumi nodded in agreement.

In an instant, Enel transformed into lightning and, within seconds, returned with the small Den Den Mushi in hand.

The three of them stared at the still-ringing Den Den Mushi.

Since neither Takumi nor Enel made a move, Kaku cautiously reached out and answered it.

Immediately, a cheerful voice came through the receiver.

"You finally answered! Hahahaha, I knew you were home! Don't go anywhere for the next month, alright? I'll be at your place in about two weeks."

That voice... it was so familiar…

A name popped into Takumi's mind, and he couldn't help but feel exasperated.

Enel and Kaku, on the other hand, were completely confused. They didn't know who the caller was, but they did gather one important piece of information: whoever was on the line would be arriving on the island in about two weeks. It also confirmed that this seemingly abandoned castle had an occupant before they arrived.

When the caller received no response, he continued, "Hey, are you really going to stay silent the whole time? Aren't you going to ask why I'm coming? At least give me a sign you're listening. Ah, never mind. I guess I'm the only one who can put up with your attitude. Anyway, no more chatter. We haven't seen each other in a while, so when I pass by your place, we'll have a drink and spar a bit. You wouldn't say no to that, would you? Hahaha!"

"I'm telling you, my swordsmanship has improved a lot recently. When we meet, I won't go easy on you. You'd better train up so you don't lose too badly! Hahaha…"

"Alright, I'll stop here. My crew is calling me to drink, so I'll see you in a couple of weeks. Don't ditch me, Mihawk."

Then, the line went dead.

Takumi: "..."

Enel: "?"

Kaku was stunned for a moment before realizing the gravity of the situation. "Mihawk? Did he just say Mihawk? Could that really have been someone talking to Dracule Mihawk, one of the Seven Warlords and the world's greatest swordsman?"
