Chapter 167 - Chapter 167: Setting Sail: Kaku Almost Blows His Cover

Enel and Kaku stomped without mercy, effortlessly crushing the sticky egg yolk before it could reform, causing it to splatter everywhere.

"So disgusting," Enel said with disdain, wiping the egg yolk stuck to his shoes on the ground.

At that moment, the splattered egg yolk suddenly began to gather again, reforming into a new puddle of egg liquid…

"Is this ever going to end?" Enel, now impatient, unleashed another God's Judgment, frying the still unformed egg yolk into a crispy, charred omelet.

But to their surprise, something incredible happened again—the center of the omelet split open…

"He can still regenerate?" Kaku was silent for a moment before coming up with a good idea. "I have a way to deal with him. When this guy forms again, don't kill him right away. Let's knock him out first."

Enel looked at Kaku. "What do you plan to do?"

Kaku grinned and said, "Throw him into the sea."

Enel was taken aback, but then he understood and chuckled sinisterly, "That's a great idea."

With a loud "cluck", the newly formed Viscount Hiyoko evolved once more, becoming Count Chicken, with a full-grown rooster's head, dressed in a pale pink suit, complete with rooster tail feathers on his back.

Just as Count Chicken appeared, before he had a chance to fight back, Enel and Kaku were already waiting and gave him a thorough beating.

It wasn't long before Count Chicken lay on the ground, bruised and battered.

Enel and Kaku exchanged a glance. One picked up Count Chicken, and the other hoisted the unconscious Pekoms. Together, they walked to the nearest coast and unceremoniously tossed both of them into the sea.

Mission accomplished—no trace left behind!

The two didn't linger any longer and quickly returned to the ship.

Even though they hadn't managed to buy any supplies.

Takumi was still asleep, seemingly unaware of anything that had happened.

Kaku gave Enel a subtle look.

Enel nodded in understanding and quietly used his electricity to activate the ship's internal gears.

In reality, Takumi had woken up when they returned to the ship. However, since neither of them had disturbed him, he chose not to intervene. As for what they had done on the island, Takumi hadn't paid much attention, so he truly didn't know.

Meanwhile, aboard a large ship anchored behind the island, flying Big Mom's pirate flag, the crew members who had stayed behind were chatting curiously.

"Did you guys hear that noise earlier? It sounded like thunder, but the sky doesn't look like it's going to rain…"

"You idiot! This is the Grand Line. The weather is unpredictable. Thunderstorms in localized areas aren't that strange."

"Still, something doesn't feel right. Do you think something might have happened to Pekoms and Baron Tamago?"

"Don't be ridiculous! Those two are really strong. There's no way anything could happen to them on this small, insignificant island."

"Hahaha, you're right. I must be overthinking it…"

Later that evening…

At the dinner table in the ship's kitchen, Takumi and Enel both stared in silence at the three blackened fish dishes on the table, clearly unsure whether they were even fully cooked, and with no appetite at all.

Kaku, looking a little embarrassed, scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly. "Hahaha, this is my first time cooking. I don't know if it turned out well, but why don't you try it?"

"No thanks!" Takumi and Enel said in unison.

Kaku, feeling awkward, said, "You guys really won't give me any face at all… Ahem, even though the dishes don't look great, maybe they taste better than they look."

"I think you're trying to poison us," Enel grumbled as he stood up and walked to the fridge. "Hmph, I'd rather eat fruit."

But when he opened the fridge and saw it was empty, he froze.

"Huh? Where did the fruit go?" Enel turned to Kaku.

Kaku pointed to the stove, where a large pot was simmering on low heat, and smiled. "They're all in that pot. Since we couldn't buy any ingredients today and there are no seasonings on board, I used fruit and wine to get rid of the fishy smell. I'm not sure how it'll taste, but you two should have plenty."

Enel: "…"

Takumi: "…"

Enel's face darkened as he spoke with a cold tone, "You long-nosed bastard, this was on purpose, wasn't it?"

Kaku laughed loudly, "Hahaha! You're the one who asked me to learn to cook for you! There's no recipe on board, so I had to improvise. My thinking is, if everything is edible, then mixing them together should also be edible, right? That's my approach, hahaha…"

"Damn it, you're asking for it!" Enel's body crackled with electricity, and without another word, he launched a few bolts of lightning at Kaku.

Kaku quickly dodged with agile movements.

The lightning struck the floor, leaving several large burn marks.

Takumi, not wanting to get involved, lazily stood up and walked towards his room, leaving the fight behind without a care.

"Hey… we just finished repairing this ship, and now you're going to destroy it again?" Kaku asked, dodging another lightning strike as Takumi walked away. "Takumi, the ship's going to be wrecked. Aren't you going to stop this?"

Without looking back, Takumi said as he walked away, "If the ship breaks, you fix it."

"Huh?" Kaku was momentarily stunned, then smiled wryly. "Well, I am the shipwright…"

"Hmph! Long-nosed idiot, today I'll fry you to a crisp!" Enel continued hurling lightning bolts.

Kaku, propping himself up on the dining table with one hand, leaped over the three charred fish dishes.

With a loud boom, the lightning obliterated the dining table completely.

As Kaku landed, a small, delicate Den Den Mushi fell out of his pocket.

Kaku froze for a moment, and immediately reached out to grab the Den Den Mushi.

But Enel was faster, grabbing the Den Den Mushi first.

Kaku's heart skipped a beat: This is bad…

This was the Den Den Mushi he used to contact Spandam!

"What's this?" Enel held the Den Den Mushi between his thumb and forefinger, examining it. "A snail?"

Since Enel had come down from Skypiea and traveled with Takumi for a while, he had never encountered a Den Den Mushi before.

Kaku stared at Enel, shocked.

He wasn't sure if Enel really didn't know what a Den Den Mushi was, but at this moment, he could only hope that Spandam wouldn't suddenly call.

Unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side, and the Den Den Mushi suddenly started ringing.

"Brrrr, brrrr…"

Kaku cursed inwardly: Spandam, you idiot!

Startled by the sudden noise, Enel accidentally crushed the Den Den Mushi in his hand…

The broken pieces of the Den Den Mushi fell to the floor.

After a moment of silence, Enel sneered, "Hmph, what a weak little thing."

Kaku forced a smile, not sure whether to feel relieved or frustrated.

That was his only Den Den Mushi to contact CP9…
