The distance between Elion and the boss bat shortened rapidly, the air crackling with lightning as he moved closer to his enemy.
When the boss bat's sound magic surged dangerously close, Elion swung his sword in a horizontal arc. The void slash devoured the magic completely without losing any of its power, carving a destructive path straight toward the bat.
The bat dodged upward, heading for the ceiling, but Elion followed close behind him He launched a vertical slash, and although the bat maneuvered to the left, it wasn't fast enough to escape entirely. The edge of its wing was caught, and half of it disintegrated, dissolving as if eaten away by acid.
The boss bat let out a high piercing scream that echoed through the chamber. Elion, with his ruptured eardrums, barely registered the sound.
