The camp had returned to normal after the failed assassination attempt, yet for some reason, Alex just could not shake away the feeling that there was a bomb ready to go off at any minute. He'd been training day in and day out with the Resistance, concocting strategies with Elena, showing everybody he came into contact with that he was a great guy to have at one's back. Yet, there was something about the past days that gnawed at him; all in all, things just felt like they were about to change, and not for good.
It was then that a small contingent of scouts finally returned from one of their missions, gone into a village quite nearby, which they said was connected with ancient mysticism in the hope of securing some valuable information about the Demon King's plans. Instead, they returned with something far more unsettling: a prophecy.
