Chapter 40 - The secret of Hagrid

We were heading to Hagrid's house to pay him a visit like every other Saturday.

"Hagrid, are you there?"

"Yes, yes, two minutes."

We could hear movement inside, as if he was trying to hide something.

He opened the door, and a little sweat could be seen on his forehead.

"We're not too much trouble, are we?"

"Not at all."

When we entered, there was only one thing that we noticed.

"Why is it so hot in your cabin, Hagrid? I know we're still in winter, but this is a bit much."

"I totally agree with Mary. It's stifling; couldn't you open the window?"

"No worries, I'll be fine."

He went to open the window while they found the cause of the heat. There was a pot in the oven. I wonder what could be in there that would require so much warmth.

"Hagrid, what are you cooking that's about to set this cabin on fire?"

As usual, Marie went straight to the point, without bothering about anything else. I sometimes wonder if she wouldn't be better off in Gryffindor.

"Oh, it's just a meal I'm trying to recreate from a recipe."

"What meal?"

After Marie's question, Hagrid couldn't give an answer, making it clear that it wasn't a meal from any recipe.

"We're not going to pry if you don't want to tell us. Just be careful you're not doing anything illegal because I don't want to see you end up in Azkaban."

He trembled slightly at the mention of the prison before regaining his composure.

"I wouldn't end up there, I guess."

His last words were just a whisper, making me want to hit him for the nonsense and trouble he always seems to get into.

We leave after having a little chat and reminding him to be careful.

The next day is Hufflepuff's match against Gryffindor, and according to some, Professor Snape is going to referee the match.

Harry is constantly stressed because he is still convinced that Professor Snape is responsible for the attack on him during the match against Slytherin.

From what I overhear from Hermione, she doesn't want Harry to participate, but knowing how stubborn he is, she just tells him to be careful.

There is less excitement in the stadium because it isn't really a match between two rival houses, but both houses are ready to cheer for their team with all their might.

The teams enter the field, and you can feel the animosity from Fred, George, and Harry towards Professor Snape.

I feel a bit sorry for Professor Snape, because even though he is strict, he's a very good teacher who is always willing to help if you want to push yourself further in Potions.

The match started, and very quickly Gryffindor began making many mistakes, mainly because of Fred and George, who were trying to attack Professor Snape.

Hufflepuff was leading when Harry rushed toward Professor Snape.

When I saw him, I thought he had lost his mind and was about to attack Snape, but in reality, the Golden Snitch was right next to him, and Harry caught it, winning the match for Gryffindor against Hufflepuff in just 5 minutes.

This match reminded us that, no matter the team, if you have a good Seeker and a bit of luck, you can win the game and leave no time for the other players to show their skill.

Quidditch is such an unfair sport, especially with the technological advances in broomsticks. Matches are becoming faster and less exciting.

They should implement limited-time matches, and if someone catches the Golden Snitch, the team gains 150 points, and the Snitch is returned to play thirty minutes later, while the Seeker switches to playing as a Chaser during that time.

...

BUT IT'S A GENIUS IDEA, I'LL TRY TO CHANGE THE RULES OF THIS SPORT.
