As they descended down the side of the mountain the blizzard became progressively weaker. Not because they were moving in some particular, clever direction, but simply because they were reaching a lower altitude.
While snow may be on top of a mountain, and even further down, eventually the elevation was going to change from the heights where it could freeze, to a lower elevation where the snow melted instead and turned to rain.
It was just as cold, and even more unpleasant than the frozen version, and there was a large risk of a person catching something fatal if they got drenched and were unable to warm themselves. And the person with that large risk.
Was definitely her.
She gave the leaky roof of the carriage the stink eye.
But it didn't stop leaking.
"Ugh."
She should definitely be happy.
