"Why are you explaining my own traditions to me."
He didn't even bother to make it sound like a question.
She looked up at him from the book she held. "You told me to read more about Sideran culture."
"Are you incapable of doing so silently?"
"It is easier to remember knowledge if you tell it to someone else."
It was, in fact, the reason that tutors used to tell their students to explain problems and answers to them when they'd completed a lesson. So they could retain and remember it better, or at least confirm that it was in their memory at all.
