The team had not fought together so they were not fighting as a team. Kipkemboi charged forward, katana flashing as he aimed for the Firstborn's chest. The blade struck the demigod's massive arm with a sharp clang, but it didn't even leave a scratch. The Firstborn's eyes narrowed as he swatted Kipkemboi away with a single backhanded motion, sending him crashing into a nearby tree.
"Too weak," the demigod sneered.
As Kipkemboi hit the ground, Kit Mi Kai sprang into action. His hands shot toward the earth, and with a roar, he summoned a massive wave of jagged rocks from the forest floor, sending them hurtling toward the Firstborn. The ground trembled as the rock formations rushed forward, aiming to crush the demigod under their weight.
But the Firstborn merely raised a hand. With a flick of his wrist, the rocks shattered, crumbling into dust before they even touched him. Kit Mi Kai's eyes widened in disbelief.
