ZEN CITY- 17TH DISTRICT - NIGHT
Tall glass buildings, neon lights, big screens are
everywhere. Two people sit in a big truck and they prepare
their equipment. RUFUS, a European bulky guy around 35yrs
old, double checks who they are going to kill for this job.
Rufus's watch displays a 3D hologram of a gang leader who is
known as the Emperor. ANAHI, around 24yrs old, seems calm and
ready to penetrate the security and take down the Emperor.
RUFUS
(with a deep Russian
accent)
Anyway, what is this Vani guy's deal
with the Emperor? No one heard this
Vani or seen the guy. I prefer to
know for who I am killing the
Emperor.
Anahi stays quiet.
RUFUS (CONT'D)
Are you always this quiet? How do I
know that you will cover my back
just in case we have to improvise?
ANAHI
Don't worry.
Just follow the plan Vani provided,
and we will be fine.
RUFUS
The plan? No No No. I have my own
way of doing the job.
Anahi picks up her knife and starts walking toward the big
glass tower. They approach the back of the building and start
climbing on it. They use magnetized boots and gloves to stick
on the building. While they are climbing, Rufus uses a spy
drone to scan the 14th floor completely. The scanning drone
comes back to Rufus and it displays the whole map of the room
in a hologram. Six armed droids are walking around in the
room.
14TH FLOOR - NIGHT
They reach the 14th floor. Rufus twists his index finger like
a loose bolt, and start cutting the glass wall with his
finger that has a hidden blade in it. He carefully finish
cutting a window and they enter the building without alerting
the security, but the security system detects them right
away. The room has the size of two floors and has a few
stairs leading to the big fancy door on the 15th floor. There
are mostly pool tables, sofas, tables designed for a party
room. Droids immediately shoot with their gun toward two
bounty hunters, so they rush to hide behind the sofas next to
them. Droids aimlessly shoot to sofas in the corner of the
room. Windows shatter everywhere, and feathers float in the
air.
Rufus starts shooting against the droids to provide a space
for Anahi to run around. Anahi starts running and throws an
EMP grenade from her pocket to disable the droids. Rufus hits
one droid in the head at the same time Anahi disables two
droids with the electromagnetic pulse grenade. The other
three droids recognize Anahi, so they start shooting at
Anahi. One of them prepares for hand combat by revealing its
taser blade from its arm. Thus, Anahi runs toward the
remaining droids and slides under the table in front of her
while she sticks a device and pulls a string from it. Then,
she attaches the end of the string to one of the droids.
Immediately, the device pulls the table toward the droids and
hits it. Rufus comes to them and shoots down another droid.
The only remaining droid charges toward Anahi. She brings out
a knife and tries to block the attack, but she missteps and
falls on the floor. A droid swings over her, but Rufus blocks
the attack with his right metal arm and zaps the droid with
his taser gun. An electrified droid falls on the floor.
RUFUS
(with a Russian accent)
Following the plan. Eh?
Anahi stands up and picks her knife.
ANAHI
(in frustrated voice)
Exactly.
They start walking to the big fancy door on the top floor.
RUFUS
(with a Russian accent)
So little defense for a very
important guy. I could have done it
alone.
They reach the door and open it.
INSIDE EMPEROR'S ROOM - NIGHT
Anahi first enters the room and Rufus follows her. There is a
big table at the end of the room. Big windows and paintings
are surrounding the wall. The Emperor stands near his big
table and welcomes them while he smokes.
EMPEROR
(confident)
Ah, here they are. the great
assassins sent by Vani are here to
kill me.
Anahi walks toward the Emperor.
ANAHI
Any last words for Vani?
EMPEROR
Of course, you small-time bounty
hunter really think you can come in
here and kill me? You are here
because I decided so.
Rufus slowly puts his gun against Anahi's head from behind.
RUFUS
(in a Russian accent)
No hard feelings partner. It is just
a business.
The Emperor walks around in his room.
EMPEROR
I am The Emperor. I decide who lives
and who dies in this fucking City.
If Vani thinks he can stop my
operation by sending a woman to kill
me, I am deeply disappointed in him.
The Emperor takes a sip from his whiskey and makes eye
contact with Rufus.
RUFUS
Any last words?
ANAHI
You should have read the plan,
Rufus.
Suddenly, a sniper bullet flies through the window and hits
Rufus in the head. All according to the plan.
Anahi walks closer to the Emperor. The Emperor starts
panicking and picks up his gun aiming toward Anahi.
EMPEROR
Do you think you are better than us?
You are just a pawn to him in this
game. He will kill you just like
him.
Anahi comes even closer.
ANAHI
Who said Vani is a he?
As Emperor's eye realizes that Anahi was Vani all along. The
Emperor's right-hand shakes as he tries to shoot Vani.
Bang!
CUT TO BLACK
Vani walks out of the room as blood drips on the floor.
