Nick had never actually met Lou. Even though he and Aaron had lived in the same city for years, their relationship had soured long ago, turning former best friends into mere strangers. He had barely heard Lou's name before. In fact, the first time her name came up was a few hours ago when Amelia mentioned her.
Yet, now, Nick found himself feeling an instinctive pull toward an old building just east of the mansion they were targeting, a feeling too strong to ignore.
"Focus, Boss!" Fabian said, snapping Nick from his distracted gaze toward the abandoned structure. He pointed emphatically to the grand, looming mansion they'd parked in front of.
