Aiden froze for a second, his mind racing, as Dr. Lim grabbed his hand and led him down the hall. He wasn't sure if he should pull his hand away or just go with it. Did he really just say what he was thinking out loud, or was it just in his head? Whatever the case, Dr. Lim didn't seem bothered—she was in a hurry, dragging him along like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Uh, Dr. Lim... maybe we don't need to rush? It's still the middle of the day," Aiden stammered, trying to play it cool and calm himself down.
"But I *am* in a hurry," she shot back, not even looking at him. She didn't seem to realize that pulling him along like this was stirring up all kinds of confusing thoughts.
"I mean, I can book a hotel for tonight if you're really in that much of a rush..." Aiden stopped in his tracks, forcing her to stop too.
