Amelia didn't remember saying "yes," but here she was, standing in a hotel room with Nick. She didn't even know how she hadn't cared about the looks from strangers as she walked through the hotel lobby, dressed in nothing but one of Nick's oversized white shirts.
She didn't remember how Nick had convinced her, but now she was leaning against the wall, completely surrendering to the heat of Nick's strong body pressing against hers. Her arms wrapped around his neck as his hands slipped beneath the shirt, gripping her waist with a hunger that sent shivers up her spine.
Their tongues danced together, tasting, exploring, their lips swollen from the relentless exchange of kisses, each one deeper than the last. They bit, sucked, and teased, their breaths heavy and tangled between them.
"Nick... why are we here?" Amelia's voice came out hoarse, barely more than a whisper as she broke the kiss.
Nick chuckled, his lips ghosting over her jawline as he nibbled her earlobe. "What, you'd rather do this by the pool?" His teeth grazed the sensitive skin of her neck, leaving a trail of hot, open-mouthed kisses. His lips paused to nip at her skin, a sharp sting that quickly faded into warmth as he left a fresh, red mark just below her ear.
Amelia gasped, her back arching involuntarily as a wave of heat pooled in her stomach. "Ahh!" she moaned, her voice breaking. "No, I mean... the kids—"
Nick pulled back just enough to look at her, a smirk playing on his lips. "I already texted Aiden. He's taking them home. Sally's there too, they're fine." Without missing a beat, he dipped his head back to the curve of her neck, trailing kisses down her throat, sending jolts of electricity through her body. "And look at you," he murmured, his voice rough with amusement. "You're way too loud for this at home. No way we could pull this off there."
Before Amelia could protest or even form a coherent thought, Nick scooped her up, his hands rough and eager as they pushed the shirt up and over her head, tossing it aside like it meant nothing. He wasted no time, his mouth descending on the smooth skin of her stomach, kissing and sucking with an intensity that made her squirm beneath him.
"Nick!" she gasped, her fingers threading through his hair, gripping tight as his lips moved lower, each kiss sending sparks shooting through her. She couldn't think, couldn't breathe. It was all Nick—his touch, his breath, his warmth. Everything else faded into the background.
His mouth moved across her skin, slow and deliberate, like he was trying to savor every inch of her. When his lips reached the dip of her waist, he paused, glancing up at her with that familiar mischievous grin. "You taste even better than I remembered," he muttered, his voice deep and gravelly, like the words were more for himself than her.
Amelia couldn't respond. Her mind was too clouded, too overwhelmed by the sensation of his lips, his hands, his body pressing her deeper against the wall. She bit her lip, trying to stifle another moan as he continued his path, his hands roaming freely now, exploring every curve, every dip of her body.
"Nick..." she managed to breathe, her hands tugging at his hair, trying to pull him back up to her, but he was relentless. He kissed and nipped his way up her torso, teasing her, drawing out every sound, every shudder.
By the time his lips met hers again, Amelia felt like she was on fire, her body trembling with need. His kiss was demanding, his tongue claiming hers as if he couldn't get enough. Every brush of his lips, every graze of his teeth sent waves of heat crashing through her.
Nick broke the kiss just enough to speak, his forehead pressed against hers. "God, I've missed you," he whispered, his voice raw, full of emotion. His hands slid down her sides, rough and possessive, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them.
Amelia's breath hitched, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw as she stared into his eyes, wide and uncertain. The intensity of his touch eased, replaced by something deeper, something that made her heart race even faster. He held her like she was something precious, his hands no longer frantic but careful, deliberate.
As Nick lifted her and carried her to the bed, she felt her heart flutter in a way it hadn't in years. She didn't know how they'd ended up here, didn't understand how she'd allowed herself to fall back into his arms so easily, but here they were, tangled together, lost in each other like nothing had changed.
Nick gently laid her down, hovering over her, his fingers tracing her skin, memorizing the curves of her body as if he'd never touched her before. He leaned down, capturing her lips again, this time slow and sweet, making her melt beneath him.
"Nick—"
"Shh, Amelia," he whispered against her lips. "I know you want me too."
Amelia's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't fight him anymore. Not when he looked at her like that, not when his touch made her feel like she was the only thing that mattered.
For the first time in years, she stopped thinking. She just let herself feel. Feel Nick's warm hands as he slid off the bikini top that still clung to her chest.
"Aahhh!" Amelia gasped when Nick grabbed her breast, an unforgettable sensation shooting through her body as his fingers teased her nipple. "You don't know how long I've wanted to do this since I saw you again."
Amelia felt a shock of electricity when Nick's hot mouth wrapped around her right nipple. "Ah, Nick!"
"I love hearing you scream my name, baby!" he whispered, satisfied. "I'm gonna make you scream even louder."
That's when Amelia felt his fingers slide down to her mound, softly caressing her before pressing on the most sensitive spot.
