Chapter 113 - Old Friends

Smoke poured from the burning old building, blending with the dark night sky as the fire crackled and roared, swallowing up what remained of the wooden structure. The fire's orange glow cast a haunting light, illuminating the chaos unfolding around them. Aaron's face was tense, his jaw set with determination as he exchanged a look with Fabian. They both knew what they had to do. Without a word, they plunged back into the inferno to save Nick, who was trapped somewhere inside.

Flames licked the walls, the heat so intense it seemed to pierce through their clothes. Aaron squinted through the haze, feeling the scorching air sear his lungs. Each step felt like an eternity as they navigated the burning wreckage, the crackling and popping of wood splitting under the heat echoing in their ears. The hallway ahead was a dangerous maze of collapsed beams and smoldering debris, but they pushed on, determined to reach Nick.
