Days later.....

Damian found himself receiving top-notch care. The bandages that once bound him were removed, and he was granted the freedom to wander around the mansion and enjoy the fresh air. However, he was always under watchful eyes, with a guard or servant never too far away.

During his stay, Damian befriended several maids and butlers. They shared stories and laughter, making his recovery more pleasant. Yet, something felt off. Not once did the lord of the mansion come to visit him, which struck Damian as peculiar given the lord's reputation for hospitality.

Another oddity was the room that seemed to belong to someone of low status. It was tucked away in a less frequented part of the mansion, and every time Damian tried to approach it, someone would intercept him with a polite but firm excuse. The mystery of that room gnawed at his curiosity.

Despite these peculiarities, Damian had no complaints. He was allowed access to the mansion's extensive library, a grand room filled with towering shelves of books. Here, he could expand his knowledge and lose himself in the world of literature. Two books, in particular, captivated him, and he spent four days engrossed in them. These books were titled *The World of Elaria*, and they opened his mind to new realms of knowledge and help him to familiarize himself

The first book went on like this...

In the ancient world of Elaria, a land of breathtaking beauty and perilous adventures, there existed a multitude of kingdoms and races, each with its own unique story.

To the north lay Ardonia, a kingdom of icy mountains and temperate forests. Its cities, bustling with life, were known for their grand architecture and vibrant markets. Ardonia was a land where the cold winds whispered secrets of old, and the people were as resilient as the land they inhabited.

Further south, the vast continent of Etis stretched out, home to the Han Territories. This region was a mosaic of expansive plains, dense jungles, and ancient ruins that spoke of a time long past. The Han Territories were a collection of city-states, each with its own ruler, yet bound together by a fragile alliance.

In the harsh and rugged lands of Unomon, civilization thrived against all odds. The mountains here were tall and unforgiving, the valleys deep and treacherous. Yet, the people of Unomon were known for their strength and tenacity, carving out a life in one of the most challenging environments in Elaria.

To the south, the Sultanate of Eldoria basked under the scorching sun. This kingdom was a realm of vast deserts and rich cultural heritage. The Eldorians were master traders and craftsmen, their caravans a common sight across the continent, bringing goods and stories from distant lands.

Scattered across the western seas were the Isles of Valoria, a paradise of lush, tropical islands. The Valorians were a seafaring people, their lives intertwined with the ocean. Their vibrant ecosystems and strong maritime culture made the Isles a place of wonder and mystery.

Elaria was home to a myriad of races, each adding to the rich tapestry of its history.

Humans, the most widespread race, adapted to nearly every corner of Elaria, their cultures as diverse as the lands they inhabited. Initially seen as the weakest race, humans lacked any special powers and often faced bullying and oppression from other races. However, everything changed when they discovered the power of the soul. Human souls possessed an unusually strong amount of soul power. Upon reaching a certain age, humans could access this power and journey to the Heavenly Realm, where they could form contracts with various entities, including beasts and weapons.

This newfound ability allowed humans to summon powerful allies and wield extraordinary weapons, leveling the playing field and enabling them to thrive alongside other races.

Graceful and long-lived, elves resided primarily in the forests of Ardonia and the jungles of Etis. Their ethereal beauty and long lifespans were complemented by their ability to control magic, which they drew from the mana in the air. Elven mages were revered for their powerful spells and deep connection to nature. Their cities, hidden within ancient forests, were places of wonder and enchantment, where magic flowed freely and harmoniously. Their forest was also covered by a magic barrier that blocked all outside interferences and acted as some sort of defense for them. It also help to keep them hidden.

Sturdy and industrious, dwarves thrived in the mountains of Unomon and the underground cities of Etis. Known for their short stature and robust builds, dwarves possessed a special ability to control metal. This innate talent led many dwarves to become master blacksmiths, crafting weapons and armor of unparalleled quality. Their forges were legendary, and their creations were sought after by warriors and nobles alike.

Demi-humans, a diverse group with both human and beastly traits, possessed the ability to display the skills of their half-beast forms. Whether it was the strength of a bear, the agility of a cat, or the keen senses of a wolf, demi-humans were formidable in both combat and daily life. Their unique abilities made them versatile and respected members of society.

Inhabitants of the Isles of Valoria, merfolk were an aquatic race with a deep affinity for the sea. They were skilled sailors and traders, their lives intertwined with the ocean.

Ancient and powerful, dragons were rare but revered across Elaria. They were often seen as the most powerful race In all of elaria and were worshiped by all.

The history of Elaria was marked by periods of great strife and remarkable achievements.

The Age of Strife was a time of conflict between the elves and orcs, leading to significant changes in the political landscape.

Kingdoms rose and fell, alliances were forged and broken.

The Great Migration saw human tribes move from the northern regions of Ardonia to the more temperate south, establishing key human kingdoms and shaping the future of Elaria.

The Eldorian Trade Empire became a major trade hub, connecting various regions through its extensive networks. This era saw a flourishing of culture and wealth.

The Dragon Wars were a series of conflicts involving dragons and various races. These wars were both destructive and transformative, leading to new alliances and the establishment of dragon sanctuaries.

To protect themselves from the wild beasts that roamed the land, the cities of Elaria were surrounded by thick walls. These walls were divided into the outer and inner courts.

The outer court was home to the commoners, bustling with markets and everyday life, while the inner court housed the nobles and the king, a place of grandeur and governance.

Elaria's rich history and diverse inhabitants made it a world full of wonder and adventure, with countless stories waiting to be told. As Damian delved into the pages of *The World of Elaria*, he could almost hear the echoes of ancient battles, feel the magic in the air, and see the majestic landscapes unfold before his eyes.
