Chereads / Douluo Dalu: Qian Renxue's Younger Brother / Chapter 129 - 125. Entering The City

Chapter 129 - 125. Entering The City

Warm fragrant winds caressed his cheek, causing Qian Renjue to feel a slight tickle.

When soft lips approached again, Qian Renjue, feeling somewhat uncomfortable, tried to evade.

However, Qian Renxue, laughing, cupped the back of his head and pressed her lips firmly against his.

A loud smacking sound followed.

Raising her charming face, her almond-shaped eyes narrowed slightly.

In a half-playful, half-annoyed tone, she said, "What's this? Are you starting to avoid your elder sister?"

"No, it's just that it smelled too sweet and tickled," Qian Renjue quickly explained, his face turning a slight shade of red from the kiss.

"Haha!"

Qian Renxue's face flushed, but she couldn't hold back her laughter.

Qian Renjue's unique way of expressing compliments made her feel a little shy.

Gently gazing at him, she pinched his handsome face and teased, "I see. Perhaps I've been too gentle with you? Next time, I'll be quicker."

Ling Yuan, who was sitting on the carriage, covered her lips with a slight smile.

It seemed His Highness, the Holy Son, was also skilled at charming women, often leaving them at a loss for words.

"Alright then, let's enter the city with me first. Once we've rested, we'll help you hunt for your spirit ring," Qian Renxue said with a soft smile, holding Qian Renjue's arm.

"Yes, I'd like to take a walk around the city first," Qian Renjue agreed, nodding.

Calling over the Soft Bone Rabbit that was sitting on the carriage, the little creature immediately leaped toward him but was caught mid-air by Qian Renxue, who grabbed it by the collar, leaving it dangling.

"Squeak!"

The Soft Bone Rabbit let out a small cry and struggled slightly, but upon realizing it was Qian Renxue, it immediately became obedient, not wanting to end up like Hu Liena, who had been dealt with by her.

It cast a pleading look at Qian Renjue, but he merely smiled helplessly, not paying much attention to its pitiful gaze.

"Ling Yuan Douluo, thank you for your hard work along the way," Qian Renxue said as she embraced the rabbit in her hand, gently petting it.

"Miss Xue, you are too kind. It is my duty," Ling Yuan Douluo quickly bowed in respect to Qian Renxue, who nodded slightly and gave further instructions.

"Later, I'll have to trouble Ling Yuan Douluo and the others to protect us from the shadows."

"Understood!" Ling Yuan Douluo answered obediently, fully aware of the personality differences between the brother and sister.

She had always been completely loyal to both.

With a slight wave of her hand, Qian Renxue swiftly stored the two carriages into the life ring on her finger.

"We shall take our leave!" Ling Yuan said, bowing slightly, and with a flash, she disappeared into the distance, followed by the Porcupine and Snake Lance Douluo.

Qian Renxue retracted her imposing aura which only appeared when she talked with any other person than her family.

She turned back to Qian Renjue, and smiled gently "Come, let's go have dinner."

"Alright," Qian Renjue nodded, heading toward the gates of Heaven Dou City.

---

As they strolled toward the towering city gates, Qian Renjue said, "By the way, sister, mom sent some things for you."

"What did she send?"

"Clothes, jewelry, and some snacks she made herself. You can try some."

As he spoke, Qian Renjue pulled out some steaming snacks from his system space, which was frozen in time, keeping everything fresh.

He brought them to Qian Renxue's lips.

The siblings walked leisurely and soon arrived under the imposing city walls.

Qian Renjue looked up at the towering structure, observing the armored soldiers patrolling up and down the walls.

Their serious and deadly auras revealed their disciplined nature.

The massive city gates stood ten meters tall and equally wide, allowing six riders to pass through side by side.

Two side gates, each five meters in height and width, flanked the main gate, which remained tightly shut.

The grandeur and magnificence of the scene left the Soft Bone Rabbit, nestled in Qian Renxue's arms, craning its neck in awe.

"The sheer size of Heaven Dou City is truly much larger than Spirit City," Qian Renjue couldn't help but remark.

"Hmph! No matter how big it is, it will belong to us one day," Qian Renxue snorted, her ambition clear.

Holding Qian Renjue's arm, she smiled and said, "When that day comes, you can explore the city with me whenever you want."

"That day will come for sure," Qian Renjue responded softly as they stepped into the bustling streets of Heaven Dou City.

The noise and chatter filled the air as Qian Renjue noticed several familiar buildings, though he couldn't quite place them in his memory.

Qian Renxue, noticing his interest, played the role of a tour guide as they strolled.

"Over there is the Great Spirit Arena, where soul masters fight," she pointed out, directing his attention to an elliptical building over a hundred meters tall, extending so far on both sides that the walls were barely visible.

(What a big building!)

The Soft Bone Rabbit looked up, eyes wide with amazement.

Seeing the eager look in Qian Renjue's eyes, Qian Renxue's brows furrowed slightly as she looked at him sternly.

"Jue, don't make your sister angry," she warned.

"Sister, I wasn't planning on fighting, just wanted to take a look," Qian Renjue replied helplessly.

His spirit was too distinctive, and fighting in the arena would draw unwanted attention.

"Looking is fine, but not now," Qian Renxue said, her tone softening as she realized the potential risks. "Come, I'll take you to the best restaurant in town."

They continued walking, passing by the auction house, Yuexuan, and a few unknown spirit master academies, until they arrived at the Heaven Trasure Restaurant, jointly run by the Heaven Dou royal family and the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Clan.

Inside a luxurious private room, Qian Renxue had already ordered dinner and, as usual, sat close to Qian Renjue, leaning against his shoulder.

"Have you decided what kind of spirit ring you want to hunt?" Qian Renxue asked.

"Grandpa has advised me to aim for one around 25,000 years old," Qian Renjue replied.

Qian Renxue's eyes widened slightly in surprise, and she praised him, "Your spiritual power has improved quite a bit."

"I'm still far behind you, sister," Qian Renjue shook his head, knowing such things weren't easily achieved.

"Of course, I'm your big sister!" Qian Renxue said proudly, a sense of inevitability in her voice.

She was, after all, the Angel God heir.

Qian Renjue chuckled quietly as he sipped his ginseng tea. "But, sister, I've found another way to increase the upper limit of the spirit rings I can handle."

"Oh? What method?" Qian Renxue asked, intrigued.

"Do you know where Dugu Bo is?" Qian Renjue asked.

"The Old Poison?" Qian Renxue raised her brows, a strange look in her eyes. "Does your method involve him?"

"Yes. With Dugu Bo's help, it would be much easier to find what I need," Qian Renjue explained.

Hearing this, Qian Renxue's face showed a hint of helplessness.

"Jue, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. That old poison has hidden himself away."

"Hidden? Why?" Qian Renjue asked in confusion, noticing her expression. He speculated, "Does this have something to do with you?"
