Time flies.
With the company of Qian Renxue and her younger brother, Bibi Dong's recovery time shortened significantly.
In just over half a year, she returned to her usual self.
After that, Qian Xunji gradually began transferring the affairs and authority of the Pope's Palace to the Saintess.
Everything went smoothly, thanks to the support of the elders.
This allowed Qian Xunji a great deal of free time.
Aside from his own cultivation, his greatest joy became spending quality time with his two children.
...
The early morning sun brought a slight chill to the air.
With nothing else to do, Qian Xunji leisurely pushed a food cart into the courtyard.
Smiling, he picked up a cloth and casually wiped down the stone table in the yard, before calling out to the house,
"Xiao Xue, Xiao Jue, it's time to eat!"
His voice echoed through the courtyard.
Inside the house, on the bed, the siblings, who were sleeping together, began to stir.
Qian Renjue clung to the soft body beside him, burrowing deeper into the warmth.
His brows furrowed as he refused to open his eyes, still in a deep sleep.
Qian Renxue, with her hazy purple eyes, looked down at the younger brother in her arms.
She felt the leg pressing against her, and her eyes filled with helplessness, but more so with affection.
She gently freed her hair from being trapped and untangled herself from Qian Jue's grasp.
Qian Renxue rose from the bed.
Her long hair cascaded like a waterfall, naturally falling over her shoulders.
She wore a white satin nightgown, revealing her rounded shoulders and delicate collarbone.
Her arms were slender but not frail, and her legs were long, straight, and proportionate.
Her face was as beautiful as a painting, with a straight nose and every inch of her skin as white as snow, smooth like porcelain.
At just nine years old, she was already blossoming into a graceful young woman with the beauty of a future queen.
Glancing at Qian Jue, her soft, porcelain-like face smiled slightly.
With graceful steps, she walked toward the bathroom.
Before long, the sound of running water stopped, and Qian Renxue returned, fully dressed and fresh from washing.
She held a damp towel as she approached the bed.
"Jue, it's time to wake up. Dad's already brought the breakfast."
As she spoke gently, she pulled the pillow from Qian Renjue's embrace.
"Sis... I know," Qian Renjue muttered, squinting his eyes, as he turned over and raised his hand to block the light, still trying to hold onto sleep.
"Come on, don't fall back asleep, or you'll doze off again," Qian Renxue teased, clearly familiar with this routine.
"I won't, just a little longer," Qian Renjue mumbled drowsily.
"But you said that last time too," Qian Renxue said, laughing softly. She gently pulled his hand away and placed the cool, damp towel on his face.
"Ah! So cold!" Qian Renjue shuddered from the sudden chill, instantly more awake.
"Get up now. I'll head out first," Qian Renxue said.
"Okay."
After getting a response, Qian Renxue smiled softly, tidied up the bed, and walked out of the room, her steps light.
She turned back and urged him, "Hurry up!"
"I'm coming!"
Qian Renjue groaned as he rubbed the towel over his face and then tossed it aside.
He sat up, his eyes still a little sleepy, and looked around.
Stretching his arms and yawning, Qian Jue's eyes began to water slightly.
After rubbing them, he finally got out of bed.
At nine years old, he already had the physique of a young man, standing at about 1.5 meters tall.
His body was long and slender, but not frail.
His features bore a strong resemblance to Qian Renxue's, with seven or eight points of similarity.
Being well taken care of, his skin was soft, yet he did not appear effeminate; rather, his appearance still retained its boyish handsomeness.
His blonde hair was a bit messy.
With sharp, bright purple eyes and slightly angular features, he gave off an air of warmth that could make others feel at ease.
After washing up, he dressed in white robes embroidered with gold patterns and quickly ran outside with a smile.
"Jue! Are you ready yet?" Qian Renxue's voice came from the courtyard.
Qian Renjue didn't stop, shouting back, "Sister! I'm coming now!"
Before his voice had even faded, he had already rushed out, seeing Qian Xunji carefully setting the table with food.
He smiled and greeted him, "Dad."
Qian Xunji looked up and smiled, "Xiao Jue, come over here. We're about to eat."
He finished setting the last dish on the table and sat down.
"Okay." Qian Renjue smiled and walked over to where Qian Renxue was sitting.
"Sis, let me help you."
"Sure, be careful. I'll go grab the bowls," Qian Renxue nodded and handed him the hot soup.
She then turned to distribute the bowls and chopsticks.
Qian Renjue carefully placed the hot soup in the center of the table before sitting down.
Qian Xunji smiled and filled Qian Jue's bowl, then Qian Renxue's, saying, "Have some hot soup to warm yourselves up."
"Thanks, Dad!"
"..."
At the small stone table outside, Qian Renxue and Qian Renjue sat next to each other, with Qian Xunji across from them.
He occasionally gave them some food while chatting about casual topics and the interesting things happening in the world of soul masters.
After a while, Qian Xunji brought up a topic that he occasionally mentioned.
"Xiao Jue, if you ever find a girl you like, just let me know."
"Whether it's from the empire or a sect, you name it!"
Qian Xunji spoke cheerfully, with a look of pride.
"Dad, I'm still young, there's no rush," Qian Jue replied, shaking his head with a gentle smile.
Qian Xunji laughed and said, "You're young, but it's a good time to start building feelings!"
Qian Jue couldn't help but roll his eyes, amused. "Dad, I haven't even met any of them. How could I possibly choose?"
Qian Renxue frowned, clearly uninterested in the conversation, but Qian Xunji didn't let up.
"Well, we can always have someone draw portraits for you..."
"Alright, Dad!" Qian Renxue interrupted, placing more food in his bowl and giving him a look.
"Let's just focus on eating, didn't you say you'd help me train today?"
"Haha, right. Let's leave that topic for now."
Qian Xunji laughed and finally dropped the subject, though he reminded Qian Renjue one last time, "Xiao Jue, if you find someone, just let me know."
"I got it, Dad." Qian Jue nodded with a smile, already used to these conversations.
Whenever Bibi Dong wasn't around, Qian Xunji rarely missed the chance to have meals with his two children.
Sometimes, even Qian Daoliu would join them for a little family time.
...
Half an hour later, on the wide grassy field in front of the worship hall, Qian Renxue was sparring with Qian Xunji, honing her soul skills and combat techniques.
