"Oh, come on!" Zara groaned, eyeing Pyris—now Petne—with exaggerated annoyance as she watched him stir up his power in a dramatic display. "How about something that's more tundra-cool, less flashy blaze?"
Pyris tilted his head at Zara, catching the mischievous glint in her eyes, a look that dared him to impress her. He smirked, his eyes alight with an unspoken challenge.
"See, that's the problem with women buddy," Pyris muttered, not so subtly motioning for the creature toward Zara and Alera. "They'll demand you tone it down and then accuse you of being boring."
